dlizi4 I'm sure lots of us can make our own yogurt and lots of us do read ingredients!
And which are "addictive" ones anyway?
We have both reading ingredients and making our own yogurt, kefir, and occasionally soft cheese since the 1970s. We won't be the only ones...
But there's no use making small quantities in my opinion (especially kefir).
So... like other people, (and as there aren't 7 of us anymore) we can afford to buy Yeo Valley or similar natural yogurt.
We still make kefir.
We don't sweeten either our kefir or yogurt but know our grandchildren like a sweeter yogurt - served with fruit and, if needed, a little maple syrup or honey.
Just because we can do something doesn't mean we "ought to".
