Can we get rid of the nasty adverts?

I think it unwise to call any Australians 'stupid'.

During WWII my late father met many Australian troops, in North Africa, and eternally praised their bravery and generosity.

I am lucky as I seem to have the ability to completely overlook any adverts. In fact I’ve had to look this morning to find out what you meant.

There is an advert for Temu and Octopus thot is it. Easily totally ignored.

I m like you WW2 they completely miss me or rather I completely miss them They are there but my mind cancels them out and they don’t bother me at all, I just don’t see them

I don't think the poster means visible adverts for products, but spam posts advertising fake medicines etc. I can see 5 under different forum headings right now.

Well Spam posts aren’t that much of a problem really, you just report them and they get removed you don’t have to read them do you, you just report and pass on by , just a minor irritant for us more of a nuisance for the admin

But the titles give them away, so just move on tot he next sensible one.

The ones I hate are those that resurrect threads from 8 or 9 years ago and then post a spam message on it.

I have found that on Face Book lately. It’s so annoying - all these fake made up stories luring you in to start reading and going nowhere. I am finding it’s detracting from genuinely interesting items and a turn off.

The whole page was full of them but the moderators moved them pretty quickly. Thank you mods !

I don’t tend to see them or if I do I see it has been reported and I move on. Am quite unobservant in general, known to waltz past people I know in the street who then accost me with ‘not speaking today?’
Would be useless as a witness.

I'd like to ban each and every ad for cremations.
I don't feel well and I don't want to be continually reminded of my eventual demise.
