Good morning from a sunny W Kent. A combination of the heat and something I have eaten has really upset me so thankful we have another quiet day. DD2 dropped by yesterday which was lovely we had a good catch up

Good morning from the NE where it is mild but not yet sunny.
Spent the day reading in the garden but it was quite noisy, there were tree surgeons working nearby and neighbours' dogs were barking all the time.
DS is coming at 9am and taking me to Beamish museum for the day, GDs will meet us there. They probably need a lie in after their busy day yesterday.
Thoughts are with poorly people and missing posters.

Good morning. Looking forward to another warm sunny day.
Yesterday was a lazy one in the garden, frisbee, football. and cricket with DGSs. A lovely BBQ in the evening and hot tubs
Not sure what we are up to today yet but some sort of outing where it hopefully won’t be too busy.
Thinking of our poorly friends and those with troubles. May today be a good one.

Morning Mick, morning All from a clear corner of Somerset.

Low cloud appeared for a couple of hours yesterday morning, it was quite cool and breezy. Not deterred we had our thoroughly enjoyable open top bus ride before returning home at lunch time to do very little for the rest of the day.

It will it seems be much warmer today. Some garden pottering following the shade around, switch the washing machine on and hang the laundry, perhaps a seat outside for a while if ratty allows. An easy meal later. I may phone our Welsh friend, see how the day goes. Nothing taxing today.

Thinking of you bellasnana flowers and all with challenges to manage.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning all.

Yesterday ds1 and I cleared out my tiny but crammed full of stuff shed. We were very organised with piles going to the tip, piles he or ds2 wanted and piles to go back in.

Dh sat in the shade sorting boxes of nails, screws and the like and ready with open sacks for us to tip stuff in.
We did so well and the car was loaded twice with tip times organised. Sadly the tip overbooks and he had to wait in a queue both times for 45 minutes. Poor chap and it was so hot. 🥵.

I’m treating him and DIL to a meal out this evening as they both deserve it.

This morning we’re travelling to ds2 in Hertfordshire . We want to see dgd4 and her poorly knee. It will be a flying visit and Dh will stay home in the cool.

I hope the M25 and A1 behave 🙏. We don’t usually travel in this heat or on Bank Holidays.

Bellasnanna a poignant day for you 🌺.
Glad you’re feeling better Ash.

Take care everyone.☀️

Good morning from Plataniás, Crete. Yesterday was forecast to be wet and thundery all day but it was mixed sun and rain, no wind and very warm. It eventally rained in the late evening.

To my utter surprise I saw the red arrows flying in formation formation from my balcony in the late afternoon. They were practicing for an airshow takiing place today up the coast in Chania which we should be able to see from here. It is to commerate the liberation from the Nazis in May 1941. Most of the fighting took place on Plataniás beach.

Thinking of you today Bella.

Enjoy your hotter-than-here Sunday everyone.

Good Morning all from an already very sunny central south coast. I have been outside to enjoy the lovely coolth of the early morning, knowing that today will be hot again. It saps all my energy and I haven't much to start with these days!

The new patio furniture arrived about 7pm yesterday and DH set to to assemble it. Like most things these days it was flat pack with a totally inadequate allen key supplied. Fortunately he has his own full set of sizes so was able to get it all done and assembled and this morning it just needs tightening up. He is not a DIYer from choice but is very patient and persistent and manages to achieve a good result.
It looks good in the small space we have for it.

I shall be hunkering down today to try and avoid the heat which totally drains me. DH will enjoy it - he likes sitting in too while I go into vampire mode.

Hope our absentees are soon back with us and that everyone carrying burdens of any sort has some relief, ease and comfort today. flowers.

Good morning from s somerset with bright blue skies and strong sun all day, hot

The allotment has been just what I wanted all this week, somewhere peaceful and pretty to visit and to chat to people who are becoming friends. It has been perfect for my cycling destination, using the extended route. I have finished planting and am ready for summer and finally put squash in yesterday. Three visits yesterday, two by car and I was wilting by the time I got home when a friend/neighbour came for me to do something and that turned into a long chat indoors. I was so conscious of my whiffy dirty clothes, I had not even had time to shower and change but so be it

I have the chilled water ready in the fridge, dehydrated lemon slices making it taste so nice. I am not doing anything today, it is going to be a hedonistic day, relaxing and recovering on my comfy lounger, reading a book under the shade I have organised by my house.

Slothful will be the action for the next few days, the best way to cope with the intense heat

Good morning from a bright and sunny corner of the Sarthe.

Thank you for your kind words and other messages yesterday. I had a very quiet day (as most are here) and no more heart pain, I’m pleased to say. DH was very kind and concerned as ever.

Thinking of you, Bellasnana 🌺 and are increasing list of absent contributors.

A blessed Pentecost to you all. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 13° and cloudy. Bellasnana 💐 Marzipan I'm not a fan of ants in the house where they shouldn't be! In the past I had 2 houses with ants coming in, one of which was pretty awful. Im sure your dgd has them contained.
Yesterday was a day for housework. Because of the drying wind, I hung everything out and even washed the mattress protector. I cleaned the leather suite with leather cream cleaner too, as well as the usual housework. Then I ironed everything and put it away. I treated myself to an Indian takeaway from my favourite restaurant at night.
Today I will clean the windows and mirrors and potter in the garden, weeding. I have a tesco delivery due at ten too. This weather is just perfect, not too hot nor too cold. Hopefully the wind will die down. The rest of the curry will do me for dinner. Enjoy your day all

Good morning from Staffordshire.Warm already🥵

A quiet day with DGS yesterday. The only drama was when the cat came in through the window with a starling in its mouth😫He let it go and it flew behind the television.DH and DGS managed to coax it outside and it flew off so we hope it survived.dGS’s other grandma popped round for a chat so was nice to see her.DD and SIL will be home at some point today.

On the way home we will call at DD1’s to collect the dog as we are looking after her for the week.

Bellasnana a difficult day for you💐

Thinking of Marydoll and all our other absent friends💐

Wishing everyone the best day possible🌷🦩

Good morning from Cornwall where of course it's going to be hot, like yesterday. I went at 8am to B&Q and came back with some pretty pink marguerite daisies, a sweet pea plant and surprise surprise a large globe artichoke plant! Of all things to find at B&Q! Our town was congested with tourists so I hunkered down at home while the hottest hours passed then climbed up to my wild wood and started digging out a wide area to make somewhere to sit under the trees throughout the summer. It felt so good to be doing proper physical work again, shifting rocks and earth.

My echium is very popular with the bees, one of which is so big I'm surprised it can fly! 😂 My granddaughter has an ant colony in her bedroom and told me that she'd found the queen ant lying on its back 'but I stood her up again and she's ok now Nana.' Just like her dad, she loves insects.

Today is church and then a bus ride home to continue my excavation under the trees.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire. I’m looking forward to a warm, sunny, day.

Yesterday afternoon was spent sitting in DD’s garden reading and watching the children play. The eldest and DD are having a few days away together and their Dad was golfing.

Today afternoon Mass I’ll be helping out at the Sunday Cafe in the hall then I plan to relax with a book in my garden and do nothing much at all.

Bella flowers

Have the best day possible everyone.

Oh Bella, sending you hugs too x

Good morning Mick and followers, it’s cool and bright here in south Glos.
All the laundry dried nicely yesterday so there’s some ironing to do today. I had a bit of a tidy in my Shed, I do love it, so does tiddler 😍
My bathroom scales have expired so I’ve ordered a new set; they’re years old and not particularly accurate I suspect as my weight could vary dramatically by simply getting off them and immediately back on!
A friend popped in last evening, lovely to see her. She’s off with a group of friends for a few days, I’m sure she’ll have a wonderful time.
I think I’ll have homemade lasagna for dinner today, with salad it’ll do nicely 😋
Best wishes to everyone x

Difficult day, bellas. Hugs 🤗

Good morning from Bristol. It’s misty, so the cold wind must have died down. I dislike temperatures above about 25C, so this warmth of about 23C with a gentle breeze is perfect!
Nothing much yesterday; I read and pottered after the church coffee, which wasn’t well, attended,
After the church service, it’ll be more of the same. I’m debating whether to make some cake and invite the close to the garden for tea tomorrow.
I hope you are all having a good weekend with friends and family, free from problems.

Good morning from Malta where another hot, sunny day is forecast.

Today marks the 11th anniversary of DH’s death so this morning’s Mass will be offered in his memory.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️
