Chloe Narcisse used to be my perfume, every day.
It wasn't expensive, but had a distinctive smell.

I had a look on ebay a little while back and its selling for hundreds!!

Not a toiletry, but Germolene in a little round tin. It had a lovely smell I still remember from my childhood. The current version, in a tube, smells vile.
I recall Supersoft shampoo in a single use sachet. My mum used to mix it with water before using it.

I really miss the Oceanus range at the Body Shop - I loved all the products in that range and it seemed to be popular, but they withdrew it!

I loved that talc -it smelt so nice.
My all time favourite shampoo was Polyherb .
It lathered up well and left my hair soft and fragrant.
When it was naturally dark it seemed to bring out the red tints .

The mineral talc is found in the same area of ground as asbestos. Many companies no longer make products containing talc in cas of cross contamination.. I understand that in some countries people with health issues are suing the cosmetic and beauty companies.
Some manufacturers are using alternatives, but maybe they’re expensive or just not as effective.

You don’t see 4711 (eau de cologne ) so much now though I believe you can still get it. I used to love it when I was young.

I bought some in their Cologne shop a couple of years ago.

As a student and ein my early working life it was my perfume of choice. I loved, still do, the sharpness of the smell and it was inexpensive.

Olay Everyday Sunshine - a moisturiser/SPF that gave a very gradual light tan. Used to be readily available, and not too £££.
I’ve recently found it online, but it’s a lot more expensive.

Ooh 4711.
My nan had that in a roller bottle and would put it on her wrists and face when it was hot out. smile

You can still buy it if you want to pay the price 😂

After my shower this morning I suddenly thought of how in previous years I always used Cussons Imperial Leather talc, especially in hot weather. It left me feeling dry and fresh and had a delicate 'clean' perfume. Not sure why it was stopped being produced🤔 Is there something you miss from years ago?
