I ate my meal on the balcony tonight I can’t remember the last time I did this and it was wonderful! I was in my PJs no one looks up and it was nice and cool 😁

Good Evening. Thank you for the good wishes Our eldest granddaughter has just turned seventeen, she has had her first driving lesson and sat and passed her theory test this morning. I don’t now what the hurry is as she will probably have to wait months for a test. I can’t believe she has reached that stage I still think of her as the little girl I looked after two days a week.They grow up in the blink of an eye don’t they. Lovely day again, I am not really a hot house plant but I do like sunshine. U3A coffee and chat tomorrow morning it continues meeting all summer whereas the craft group has stopped till September.

Mine is all singing and dancing FGT. It has a built in air purifier apparently and a dinky wee remote. I hope yours works well too

Snap - My new fan has been delivered too Grandmabatty! I got a Meaco as recommended on a ‘fans’ thread here. It really is whisper quiet and not cheap at £200 but I love it already!

My stepfather looked tired when I went to see him this morning - the shingles has certainly knocked the stuffing out of the 93 year old gentleman.

Then I had my nails snipped and a bit of summer madness applied! 😂

I weeded this morning but can't find my hoe to deal with the tougher blighters. It got very warm so i came inside. My new fan was delivered! At the moment im enjoying the cool air before heading to dds to check for mail. Ds sent me photos of the baby's 20 week scan and has invited me to lunch tomorrow. So all good at the moment. Hi kitchen pals, it’s a lovely warm sunny day here in Inverness. We’ve just finished loading up the car and DH has gone off to the tip and charity shop. I started by just sweeping the garage floor this morning but one thing just leads to another and before we knew it we ended up with a car full of stuff to get rid of. I’m getting much better at throwing things away gramdmabatty ! Anyhow I’m in now for a quick rest and a cuppa

Then out to book club held early so those interested could attend yet still catch the second half of the match tonight. I had high hopes after our goal but it wasn’t to be abd I took down the England flag
I’ve had up at the balcony patio door. I feel a bit deflated really. I do t follow football really but Kane and Bellingham didn’t shine like I thought they would.

My youngest GS is doing work experience in a supermarket and has asked about a summer job but nothing doing.
Actually at 15 I think he is too young.
My GD did a few hours from 16 to 18 in the one I get my delivery from.
She found it hard work but it paid.
I hope Imogen enjoys it.

I was offered a job yesterday! I read Nextdoor online and add comments. Yesterday somebody "wanted a cleaner" I replied for shoes or the pavement before stating what is required. No. of bedrooms, number of hours to be employed and rate of pay.

I was PMed later, the job being a 2-bedroom bungalow. That was a relief as I need a stair lift. I pmed the lady declining stating I was 82, partially sighted and not really up for it. She apologised, and I have offered to help her find somebody suitable as she was clueless. It brought a smile yo my face.

Today is a perfect summer's day in London and earlier I felt cold! That was a novelty.

It’s our 48th wedding anniversary today. Where have those years gone?? I can’t believe it’s almost 7 years since we moved here to Suffolk. We were given a voucher at Christmas for a Michelin starred restaurant nearby so tonight we shall use it. Of course, being famous means the menu is a bit experimental so there’s a bit of trepidation here! Also weight loss drugs rather limit the appetite so I will eat as little as possible before we go.
I hope you are all coping with the heat. Our fans are the go to here. Lots of ironing done yesterday but I ran out of deionised water for my steam iron so the rest is on hold.
