On the heath front the cold winds ,as made me put a winter coat on .

Good morning all and the sun is shining and the sea is sparkling. The wind has eased and everything is looking perfect, here on the Suffolk coast. I wonder how long for 🤔.

A couple of torrential downpours yesterday and then sun for the rest of the afternoon/evening. Again I was caught out in the summerhouse where the rain was deafening.

My neighbour took my into our tiny town and I shopped while she had her hair done. We then had coffee in the cafe there.
We caught up with all the local news. Everyone knows everyone here and everyone’s business too. 😅.

I’ll walk little pooch along the beach before the weather changes, then potter around.

Gagagran hope there’s better news from your db.🙏
Take care all and I hope your days are peaceful, gentle and enjoyable.

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 11*C.

Pleased to hear the stitch removal was painless R&L

We are a rather subdued household today. Yesterday, DH suggested, that after his nurse appointment, we go our for a run to Troon for lunch, now that he is able to drive again.
I was so looking forward to it, we used to live there and haven't been out for ages.

We were sitting in the waiting room, when DH's GP spotted him and asked why he was there. She said that she had put in a telephone call for him in the diary and would phone him before noon. I had a fair idea, why she was phoning.
Day out cancelled again.

She was true to her word, but phoned with troubling news, DH had a high reading on his bowel screening test and needs to be fast tracked to see the colorectal surgeon to organise a colonoscopy.
He has to go back on Friday for more blood tests. His extreme tiredness indicates anaemia, so that needs confirmed.
I have two medical appointment next week, plus a biologics delivery (which can only be signed for by DH or I) and was fretting about how to fit in DH's bloods appointment.

After explaining my predicament, instead of having to negotiate an appointment, the receptionist kindly asked me to tell her, what was the best day.
I have my controlled drug prescription to pick up on Friday, so Friday it is for the appointment. The receptionists have been so kind,
Combining both tasks, will save yet another trip through that troublesome junction.
Having no symptoms, means the result was a hugh shock.
He is very positive, but having gone through this recently, it has been difficult to process.

I decided that there was no point in telling my children until evening, rather than upset them at work.
I dreaded it all day. They were obviously shocked. DD phoned me immediately to see if I was OK.
DS1 was his usual cold self, initially only messaging DH and ignoring my messages..
Then later implying on the Dad chat, that I was being negative 😪
He got short shrift.

The good news is that DH's BP, although still high and causing concern, is slowly coming down.
He now has to record his readings on the NHS BP connect App

Hopefully today will be a quiet one. The weeds have sprouted up everywhere, so that will be a priority. The difficulty is, that I can hardly walk or bend at the moment. I have developed a strange, old lady gait!

Have the best day you can folks.

Hope all goes well for your brother gaga

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk. We returned home yesterday afternoon from our lovely cruise around Ireland to a torrential downpour with thunder and lightening about an hour later.

There was,of course, rain throughout our 11 days away but it was the soft, gentle stuff which keeps the country so green. The sea was rough with huge waves so we were unable to get into Londonderry from Greencastle as it was unsafe to use the tenders but the schedule was altered and we spent a day at the end of the cruise in Fowey with a wonderful organ recital in the church.

So sad to see what is happening in Belfast which we visited less than a week ago and enjoyed peace, calm and friendliness there.

Off to my keep fit class in just over an hour and then coffee afterwards with a couple of friends. I always enjoy getting back into my ‘home’ routine no matter how wonderful a holiday has been.

I’ve had nearly 2 weeks away from this supportive thread so I hope that all are well and those unwell or caring for others are finding life a little easier than it was.

Enjoy your stay and play grandmabatty, I remember those days well
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Jaxjacky Wed 10-Jun-26 07:46:52

Morning from a sunny S Hants, the heating has kicked in though.
Yesterday we had a couple of hefty storms, noisy with tremendous rain, then they went and it was sunny.
Today I must visit the library, buy some more fruit and one of us will change our bedding.
Enjoy your film Mick
Glad that removal was painless R&L.
Have a decent day all.

dragonfly46 Wed 10-Jun-26 07:43:43

Hope you hear better news about your brother today Gagagran.

Gagagran Wed 10-Jun-26 07:40:27

Good Morning all from a sunny central south coast. Our cleaners are due imminently and DH is getting ready to go his cycling club meet up for a day out with coffee and cake then lunch featuring.

I am awaiting an update on my poorly big brother in the Isle of Man who is back in hospital with sepsis. I am anxious as the news seems to get worse and worse and can't shake off feeling quite pessimistic.

DGD2 and her boyfriend set out to walk the South Downs Way yesterday and are camping out en route. They will pass fairly near us so we hope we may be able to meet up at some point. This girl, who climbed Snowden a couple of weeks ago then another nearby mountain the next day, hated going for walks as a child and could sulk at the very idea! Love her to bits!

Hope there is a good day in store for us all especially those with worries or troubles of any kind. Take care everyone.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 10-Jun-26 07:38:56

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. It looks sunny now but rain is forecast. Yesterday’s rain was torrential - Milo got caught in it and came back in the house looking very sorry for himself. He was soaked!

Our cleaner came yesterday so the house is sparkling once more. Our gardener came too and spent two hours pruning, weeding and cutting things back.

I visited friends in the afternoon and got home just as the gardener finished off. She will be back in a fortnight.

Not sure about today. We would like to see the new Spielberg sci fi (hope you enjoy it Mick) but will probably not go until next week. We really need to buy some plants for a hanging basket so might pop over to one of the many garden centres near us.

Have a good day everyone.

Redcar Wed 10-Jun-26 07:31:47

Good morning from mid Essex where it’s bright at the moment. We had a torrential downpour yesterday late morning, but it was sunny after that, with a gale force wind. I went to the garden centre in the morning and bought a selection of perennials for the front garden. I’ll put them in later this week.
Housework today, I’m out all day tomorrow looking after DD1’s dog and the DGDs, and my hairdresser is here on Friday, so I need to get the house straight today.
rosesandlilac I’m pleased that the stitch removal was painless yesterday.

karma your sewing room wardrobe looks very tidy and organised. You certainly had a busy day yesterday.

ginny your grandson’s leg sounds very painful, hopefully it will heal well and he’ll be a bit less grumpy today!

Thinking of all who are poorly or anxious and hoping life gets easier for you.

Have as good a day as is possible everyone.

Susan56 Wed 10-Jun-26 07:26:26

Good morning from Shropshire.Breezy at the moment with showers due on and off throughout the day.

We are meeting DD1 for lunch and then going to the cinema to see Madfabulous about the Marquis of Anglesey. The costumes from the film are on display at Plas Newydd so we will go to see them at some point. We have our usual Wednesday of taking DGD out for food then to her dance class.

A friend of DD’s is having a massive surgery today which if he gets through it will still be life altering. They went to see him yesterday and said his condition has deteriorated over the last week so hoping the surgery goes ahead🙏🏻

I’m glad your grandson’s operation went well ginny and don’t blame him being grumpy. Also glad the stitch removal went well R&L.I hope the appointments went well for Marydoll and Sar’s DH’s and that you hear from the hospital today dragonfly.

Grammaretto I hope you find a suitable property.Such a very stressful time for you.

Wishing everyone the best day possible🦩🌷

luluaugust Wed 10-Jun-26 07:23:19

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Coffee with a friend this morning before she has a foot operation next week. Otherwise a catch up on bits day
Best wishes

latedecember1963 Wed 10-Jun-26 07:14:54

Good morning everyone from Anglesey.
It would seem the changeable weather is everywhere except Malta.
Yesterday I managed to get 3 loads of washing done and dried but it was a bit like laundry hokey cokey bringing the airer in and out from the decking.
We also had a mixture of warm sunshine and sudden sharp showers.

Yesterday evening I did a 500 piece jigsaw ready for the jigsaw festival in September. I've got a double Wasgij with 2 x 1000 puzzles I really should tackle next as they are always in huge demand but they're not my favourite. My lovely late MiL loved doing them.

Haven't decided on plans for today but maybe a trip to Moelfre and the wool shop.

Hope all's well with you and yours. Take care. 🌻

Astitchintime Wed 10-Jun-26 07:04:31

Good morning from a cloudy NE Mids. Well, I spoke too soon yesterday as we did have very heavy rain…….just as I was about to go out but within minutes, the rain stopped, just like someone turning off the shower!
Today is a paperwork day although I do have some beetroot seedlings to tend to….might get those planted out later.
Have a good day one and all!

ginny Wed 10-Jun-26 07:04:29

Good morning from N. Bucks.
Thank you for the good wishes re. my Grandsons motorcycle accident. He had surgery yesterday to put a rod in his leg from knee to ankle. Sounds horrible. Last night his Mum said he was comfortable due to pain relief but rather grumpy .
Glad your stitche removal went well R&L.
Enjoy the film Mick.
This morning I have to make a carrot cake , cottage pie and pork & apricot tagine. This afternoon is Craft club we have a demonstrator coming so a relaxing one for me.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.

dragonfly46 Wed 10-Jun-26 06:54:34

Good morning from Leicestershire, I can see a patch of blue sky.
We seem to have had a lot of rain but the ground is bone dry!

Coffee with friends this morning. DH had a missed call from the hospital yesterday but they didn’t leave a message or ring back. Maybe we will hear something today. It is very stressful!

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Greyduster Wed 10-Jun-26 06:34:10

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I hope you enjoy the film, Mick! Very damp and chilly in South Yorkshire today. Yesterday I walked to school and narrowly missed getting soaked, and we had intermittent heavy showers which meant no outdoor play for the children so it was a bit of a noisy day too as they let off steam inside, both in the library and in the hall!

Writers group at the library this afternoon and I’ll do a bit of shopping while at the mall.

Ash I would love to sit in on your Eric Coates talk. I love his music. A giant among composers of British light music which is seriously underrated.

DD and the menfolk go off to Greece on their holiday today. I shall miss them.

Have the best day you can, folks.

kittylester Wed 10-Jun-26 06:22:20

Good morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire.

Our cleaner is due to arrive at 9.30 to work her magic. DH will be back in time to take me for a pedicure as rain is forecast just when I should be walking there. We then need to nip to town to collect an M&S parcel.

Have the best day possible everyone..

GrannyGravy13 Wed 10-Jun-26 06:19:49

Good morning from a partly cloudy S E Essex, it should reach 18° today, yesterday we had many heavy showers, this is meant to be summer 🤷‍♀️

I am keeping quiet, not getting up as our house guests are still asleep. Both boys start school at the same time today (8.50am) so no rush. We are next door but one to the school, easy school run 😹

I will go to the gym, if DD feels a bit better she will go for a short walk. DH is going to a funeral.

This afternoon our blown double glazing units will be replaced, three in all.
I hope the leading matches exactly 🤞

Have a good day, I hope the weather is kind to you 🙋‍♀️

Grammaretto Wed 10-Jun-26 06:16:00

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
It's rather cool especially for June but the garden is loving all these showers.

Some members of the local historical society came and took away several boxes of DH's archives for their collections. I am grateful to them.

I viewed a delightful cottage yesterday and could imagine myself living in it but it isn't really practical as it's about 3 miles out of town.

A neighbour had been on a patisserie course and invited a few of us for tea and pastries which was very nice.

Then my Gaelic evening class.

Today is yarn group. The weeks are going by too quickly. This evening I'm going to watch a film about Gaelic psalm singing.

37° sounds too hot for humans Bella but I suppose you get used to it. Do you all have Aircon?
I'm glad your stitches came out painlessly R&L
Take care everyone.

Grandmabatty Wed 10-Jun-26 06:04:12

Stitch removal. I should have proof read!

Grandmabatty Wed 10-Jun-26 06:03:28

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and bright. We had sun, rain, high wind, thunder and hailstones yesterday! Karma a very productive day for you. Roses I'm glad the ditch removal was painless.
Yesterday the boys were very well behaved. Dgs1 was hungry so had his usual cereal then a big pancake. Dgs2 is still struggling a bit with his wobbly tooth. After I dropped them off, I emptied most of the food cupboard which had got into a shocking state. Dgs1 finished emptying it for me after school. I then threw out some things which were out of date. Dgs1 lost another tooth so the tooth fairy will be calling.
Today I will clean the cupboard before filling it up again. This afternoon I'm going to the nursery for a stay and play session. It will be the last for dgs2 before he starts school in August. He really wanted mummy to stay and play but she can't get the time off unfortunately. I said I would go. Then it'll be a quiet evening. Enjoy your day all.

Bellasnana Wed 10-Jun-26 05:36:40

Good morning from Malta where the forecast is for a sunny day with a high of 37°C.

The boys’ concert last night was such a lovely, happy occasion.
All the children did so well and looked as though they were enjoying themselves.

The school has a lovely outdoor amphitheatre so it was very pleasant having front row seats in the shade.

I love seeing DD3 with her class, I don’t know how she does it, putting her all into her 24 little four year olds then coming home to her own two. She said ‘Mum, it’s my passion’. I’m glad she found her niche. She’s been at the same school for 15 years now and little ones she taught are now all grown up.

I didn’t stay for the barbecue but took a cab back to my comfort zone. It was a lovely evening though.

Haven’t decided what I will do today. Might watch some tennis later although I am not that interested in the Ladies, the men will start next week and I’ll get more excited about them!😄

Wishing you all a good day. ☀️

Ashcombe Wed 10-Jun-26 05:34:14

Good morning from a bright and breezy Torbay.

We had a productive morning at Props, partly spent in sourcing the last few props needed for next week’s production of Spring And Port Wine. Back to the theatre this afternoon for Wednesday Club, at which one of our members is giving a talk on Eric Coates.

Happy hump day, everyone! 🦩💐🌞🥰🦩

karmalady Wed 10-Jun-26 05:32:45

Good morning from s somerset, bright cool and showery today

What a day, so incredibly busy yesterday and I didn`t stop until 8.30. I am not making a list, just suffice to say that I did a massive amount. I also have a new car battery, I can relax about that now. Last thing I did was to get my sd ready to proof overnight in a bread tin, a very soft dough

I de-cluttered a lot and my car is loaded, at last I have been able to let go of my husbands suitcase and sports bags, no point in me keeping then for `just in case`. My AC all have their own

I did do a bit of sewing, right after breakfast and the bodice looks a better fit. The other picture is what the inside of my sewing room wardrobe looks like this morning, my patterns and machine parts will go in there today. My bedroom wardrobe looks much less `busy` then before and the top shelf has spaces

Today will be for baking sourdough and for finishing the wardrobes and of course a trip to recycling. I will not be pushing myself to the limit today, I must have exhausted my body battery yesterday and I did 10,000 steps just by doing what I did
