Good morning everyone from a cloudy Anglesey.
Yesterday was cold and wet so our day out with my Anglesey friend was to a garden centre rather than a walk or beach day.
This morning I'll go to Slimming World in Cemaes and then take the little chap to the beach for a run around if it stays dry.
Hope everyone has the best day possible. 🌻

Good morning from a grey S E Essex.

I need to get the 11yr old up for his 8am school start, find his PE kit without waking up The Imp, wish me luck…

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire. It’s dry but overcast at the moment and set to remain so. Yesterday was horrendous - cold and very wet all day.

I drove down to the camera shop on the edge of the city centre and bought my binoculars - a good make, very light, and they will sit in my pocket or bag when on the move if I don’t want to wear them around my neck. Not cheap but I figured that I could spoil myself occasionally. I could probably have got them cheaper on line, but this shop is the only one left here now that deals in good optics and dispenses good advice with them. They also service and repair them. It’s up to people to make sure they don’t go to the wall. Of course when I got home it was so wet that there were no feathered friends to try them out on! Better luck today🤞🏻.

Today I have an early appointment at the surgery and then a short session at school this afternoon.

Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a bright but breezy Torbay.

I had quite a successful consultation by telephone with my cardiologist yesterday who was surprised by the improvement in my echocardiogram result which I had in March apart from ongoing heart failure. The repaired mitral valve from 2022 continues to function well. He recommends a reduction in the dosage of Bisoprolol in the hope of giving me more energy.

The gas engineer serviced the boiler and assured me that all was well so another cause for rejoicing!

Today I’m having an overdue cut and colour with my lovely hairdresser whilst my cleaner does her thing at my flat. Fingers crossed she won’t break anything today. She is rather clumsy,

Wishing everyone a good day. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from the NE Mids. Rather overcast this morning with very little breeze. Hair appointment this morning and perhaps a look around town while I wait for the bus home……depends on the weather.
Have a good day one and all!

Good morning from the east coast and it’s a dry day today with some sunshine.
I am meeting up with my two best friends today and we will go for lunch and a little ride out somewhere. Tonight we are going for a curry with DHs sister and partner.

I’m woke early as I was in bed for nine last night. I’ve finished part one of the mystery novel my son is writing. It had a big twist at the end. He’s ready to send me the first chapter of part two. It’s very good so far.

My blood results mostly came back normal so it appears there is no medical reason why I’m putting weight on. So I think it’s back to slimming world with my tail between my legs. But they did bring up one thing apparently I have coeliac disease well who knew because I’ve been diagnosed 12 years. I only asked if they could check my iron levels as I’m supposed to have that done yearly. I now have a drs appointment coming up to discuss my results. So I had a coeliac screening done when I’m already coeliac 🤷‍♀️

Wishing a lovely day for everyone with moments of joy🌼

Good morning from Sheffield
Another dismal day

I will get up and do the Friday big clean, these weeks come round so fast. DH keeps saying it doesn’t need doing but after an evening of grandkids it definitely does.

Our eldest grandson came yesterday for tea , he’s 27 and a big soft lad. It was lovely to see him. He’s so funny even if he hasn’t got much of a filter, the younger grandkids were enthralled with him, he’s a bit naughty.

My friend is not coming for coffee as she is going to funeral so have a very easy afternoon.
It’s not good enough to go in the garden so I will find a good film and crack on with my crocheting.

Take care everyoneflowers

I did enjoy it gM although it didn't look the best! 😄

Good morning from s somerset, showery again

It was such a frustration yesterday, I spent the whole day on the pretty but horrible viscose crepe toile, it would not cut straight, would not hang straight and slipped all over the place. I plodded on until the pattern was finished, even the hem and cuffs. I tried it on and threw it into the bin. What a cheaply drafted `designer` pattern. Big neck, like a sack. I won`t be making that ever again, Cassiopee by I am patterns

I did go and garden but I can do a lot in 30 minutes, I pulled old spring flower bulbs out and replaced with 2 leftover winter squash plants, ok I did watch the inspiring Huw Richards. My square m veg plots are all full now, 8 of them at home.

The pictures are of Fairy Godmother Montana dress, I love it, nice to wear and a very satisfying sew. The one with roses was a toile made from quilting fabric, another dress that I really like and it is destined to be repeated. That one was Adeline by stylearc.

Today I need to clean my sewing room and machines and I will be pulling out any more viscose crepe that I find. I have already pulled out the likes of spray starch, bought 5 years ago, for viscose cutting and never used. Time to be ruthless as I am going to take my full car on a tip run today

Coronation chicken with tiramisu sounds very exotic and exciting, Marzipan; I hope you enjoyed it! 😅
I have to adit that I find this erratic weather unpleasant. I wouldn’t mind so much if it were linear, but find the yo-yo hard.

Good morning from Cornwall where I'm in bed with the window open and a cool breeze is wafting in from the river. A dry day forecast, hope it doesn't get too warm for my breathing. I've loved this cold start to the summer.

A lovely afternoon tea time with my pal yesterday. She's courageously booked a gallery for her first solo exhibition in October, an amazing move when I remember how timid she was about her art when we first got together. There was too much lovely food so we requested doggy bags and had to sign a disclosure form in case of upset stomachs. 😂 At least the food wasn't wasted. I had a most interesting supper of coronation chicken bap coated with tiramisu after the package jolted around in my backpack on the journey home. 😄

School run for me today. Well, school sit really because the grandchildren now run back from school while I sit on their plush sofa with a book waiting to welcome them. This is the life. 🤭

Good morning from Malta where it’s going to be sunny and 31°C. It looks a bit windy as my petunias were dancing about when I opened the shutter.

Thank you for your lovely comments yesterday. My little yard is nothing special but it serves its purpose and came to life yesterday with the boys’ arrival at 4pm.

I took my tea out and sat and watched them having fun. They are both so sweet and they play together well on the whole, although DGS2 still has a tendency to be a bit bossy!

They were collected at 8pm by their daddy having turned my place upside down, and eaten me out of house and home, but I enjoyed every minute of their company.

I’m not surprised you are tired grandMattie! You never stop. It also doesn’t help if you aren’t sleeping at night. I have trouble too. No problem going to sleep but then up and down like a Jack-in-a-box all night and wake feeling dreadful, so I really sympathise.

I think I have a hair appointment today but will have to check. I hadn’t wanted to bother my hairdresser as her daughter had her second surgery for scoliosis yesterday and my hairdresser herself is booked for surgery for colon cancer on the 24th, then six weeks recovery. I hope she will be alright. She’s only 43 and the sunniest natured soul you could wish to meet.

I will go to Lidl after my hair, then meet my friend and her sister who is here on holiday but goes back tomorrow.

I’ve given up trying to watch tennis as it seems to be rained off a lot! Fond as I am of my homeland, I do not miss the weather one bit!😅

Wishing you all the best day possible 🤗

Good morning, yet another damp, dreary start to the day here in south Glos 🙄
I never imagined I’d be wearing a thick fleece indoors in June, let alone taking a hot water bottle to bed every night.
I really feel for anyone on holiday, there’s little sign of it getting much warmer in the forecast.
Today I will plant my runner bean plants that arrived yesterday and deadheading the roses in between the showers. I also have dwarf bean plants to put in a tub.i do love fresh green beans 😋
The garden is looking luscious with all the rain, one bonus I guess 😁
Best wishes to all 🌹

Good morning from a grey, but dry (atm) Bristol. I’m hoping to see some sun, and experience some warmth. After all, we’re nearly half way through June!
The dentist was ok yesterday, if expensive. Nothing needs doing.
I did little for the rest of the day. I seem to be very tired these days, needing to push myself to do anything. I’m wondering if it isn’t diabetes related; I’m seeing the nurse next week.
Spanish this morning and notWI book group this afternoon. I don’t think I’ll go to the latter as I’m very tired from being awake since silly o’clock.
I hope your day will be full of (metaphorical) sunshine ☀️.
