Good morning from S E Essex, the sky is blue with a few clouds. Fingers crossed it stays nice 🤞🏻

DS4’s two children will be dropped off here at 8am, then the busy day begins…

I will take GD to gymnastics training, DH will take GS to The Imp’s school fete and inflatable day. At least I will be able to sit down, The Imp and DS4’s little monster can be partners in crime there is only three months between them and they get on well.

Hope the weather is good to you 🙋‍♀️

Redcar congratulations on that find, I know that uplifting feeling. I bet you whooped with joy

Good morning from a dull windy Leicestershire.

Yesterday went without drama so hoping for another quiet day today.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning everyone from a sunny mid Essex. A dry and less cold day is forecast. The DGD’s school sports day was cancelled yesterday as the playing field was still too wet after Thursday’s rain.
I finally found the tiny screw that I’d dropped on the dining room floor on Wednesday. I may attempt to assemble the cat deterrent today.

I need to put some plants in the front garden this morning, and probably buy more to fill the gaps.
llfl I hope your DH’s bees are less aggressive now. Enjoy having your son’s company.

multicoloured have a good day either way your family today.

marzipan I hope that the sea shanty festival is good, it sounds like a fun day!

Have the best day you can everyone,

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton; fine weather promised today after a dull and damp week.

Had a good shopping trip yesterday, apart from there being no Tu sale at Sainsbury's!
Got everything I needed then went for coffee and a delicious bacon roll in Costa.
Yesterday evening was exciting as I watched my rugby team beat Leicester to go through to the final at Twickenham next week! I was kept going on the edge of my seat by 🍷🍷! Such rejoicing in the stadium after the match - I should have been there....

Need to be out by 10.30 this morning as I have booked tickets for the cinema at mid-day; am meeting a friend there and we shall be watching 'Tuner' starring Dustin Hoffman.
So, an early breakfast.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex coast.
DH is helping a friend this morning so I shall get the train into town .
Nothing particular to get but a visit to M&S food hall is on the cards.
Neither of us slept well so probably a lazy afternoon .
Enjoy the weekend everyone xx

Good morning from a slightly warmer N.Bucks.
Reading the posts so far, it seems that they are a little more upbeat than of late, hope that carries on.
This morning I am off to an Acrylic art .
class leaving DH to do the food shop. This afternoon we’ll be food prepping for tomorrow’s family gathering .
We are out with friends for dinner this evening at a local restaurant that we haven’t tried before.
Hope the day is kind to you all.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent.
Today DB is arriving for a short stay. We shall go to DD2 this afternoon for tea and cake so he can catch up with her. She will be teaching an older class next year.
Best wishes

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. A sunny day is forecast.

Younger son and I had a lovely day in London yesterday. Lunch was delicious and the summer exhibition was the best since the one which Grayson Perry curated a few years ago. I spotted a few interesting exhibits! I have been sent a link to all the exhibits so will have another look!

Younger son is back for the weekend. His job is pretty stressful so he can have a relaxing weekend in the country!

A quiet day is in store. OH saw his bees yesterday and introduced a new Queen (I named her Camilla) to one of the hives. He will pop over tomorrow and see how they’re getting on.

OH also saw a tree surgeon yesterday and arranged for him to take down our beautiful ceanothus. It has got enormous and is taking over the back garden.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from Anglesey!
Belated happy birthday, Liberty, I hope you had a super day! 🎂

So sorry to read about your brother, Gagagran. I hope he's as comfortable as possible.

We had a nice morning in Cemaes yesterday. The Slimming World group was very welcoming. I'd put on half a pound. Thursday's egg custard at the garden centre probably!
Afterwards we went to the beach where the little chap ran in and out of the waves laughing his head off and then explored some of the rock pools.
The weather perked up while we were out so the afternoon was spent on the decking back at the caravan.

I watched the Canada vs Bosnia Hertzovegena ( not sure of spelling) match last night.

DH will be heading into Manchester Piccadilly to get his train to us about now.

Wishing you all a lovely Saturday. 🌻

Good morning from a bright and sunny Torbay.

Yesterday I enjoyed a relaxing couple of hours at my hairdressers having a long overdue cut and colour. The whole business with my car has put a lot of things out of sync so it’s good to get some things back on track.

I hope you enjoy your sea shanty event, Marzipan22, especially the Breton singers. 🇫🇷

Today there is a coffee morning at church, which I plan to attend. These are usually well supported by the local community.

Happy weekend to you all. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

GrannyIvy Sat 13-Jun-26 06:47:40

Good morning from Cambridgeshire. The sun actually came out yesterday and no rain all day!
It has been a difficult week my ex sil has decided to be extremely difficult causing everyone lots of stress but it is my grandchildren I fear for going forward. I’ve been awake since 2 am worrying but need to keep strong to support my DD2 and her little family.
Have been invited to close friends this evening for a BBQ something to look forward too. I’m hoping to spend some time on my garden today and maybe a cycle ride out this morning.

Wishing everyone a good day🌷

RosesandLilac Sat 13-Jun-26 06:44:20

Good morning, bright blue skies here on the hillside in south Glos, sunshine ☀️ at last!
I cut open a tomato yesterday to find that the seeds were sprouting! I haven’t seen that before so I have popped them into a pot of compost and will see what happens.
Today is more tidying in the garden, it’s looking lovely, albeit somewhat blousy. The winds have battered everything.
I’ll get the washing out on the line first thing and make the most of the sunshine.
Have a lovely weekend x
🌹

Good morning from s somerset, sunny and breezy today

I finished bottoming two bedrooms and cleaning my sewing room, I do like clean sewing machines, now dust-covered and ready for next time

Bit of gardening done at home, I put my two leftover squash plants in after watching the latest videos from Huw Richards. I still have a good firm winter squash in my garage from last year. Some more seeds ordered, rocket, Daikon radish and Chinese cabbage, realising that I can pack more veg into my growing areas. Allotment visit, parsley and leeks are now transplanted. Everyywhere looks productive and is hosting a large number of bumble bees

It is going to be a perfect drying day and my big wash is finished soon, nice to have a timer on my machine. It is finishing the 3 hour eco cotton wash and then there will be two smaller quicker washes. My rotary will be groaning, I am glad I bedded the host tube in concrete

Bread maker is on, einkorn and grits today. Lunch is a salad mix so all in all it will be a very easy rewarding day with an ever-open eye for de clutters, I started again last night, just an old bath mat and a useless storage container but it will accumulate over the weeks for the tip, bit by bit.

Good morning from a bright blue skied Black Country! Hurrah!

Yesterday whilst in town in a charity shop, I saw a set of Tefal Saucepans with the Jamie Oliver name, went to buy them but asked where the 3rd smaller pan was. Woman behind till said she had put them out, and the next day someone had obviously stolen it. Stealing from a Charity shop, how low can you go? I bought the two with £7 off, so £18 instead of £25 (apparently new the set would be over £100). Also bought a lovely Next top for £5.

Will have to get in the garden, it is like a jungle out there! Then make a start on the packing

Going to have Tapas tonight for our evening meal, get us in the mood for the holiday smile

Wishing you all the best day possible

Marzipan22 Sat 13-Jun-26 06:21:27

Good morning from Cornwall where it's wall-to-wall sunshine today, yikes. There's a sea shanty festival in a seaside town this weekend which I can get to so I may venture to that, if I fancy battling crowds. There are some interesting Breton singers who might lure me. 😄

I heard yesterday that my school run commitment is coming to an end as the children are growing up so I'll have an incredibly free week now that I also have no allotment. An opportunity to find something else to do. Exciting!

Well, I'm off to my patio swing seat now with a coffee and hot cross bun, yum. 😋

Grandmabatty Sat 13-Jun-26 06:15:16

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11°and bright although rain is forecast.
Yesterday was a quiet day, as expected. I pottered about and got washings done. It was meet the new teacher day for the boys. Dgs2 was apparently hyper when dd picked him up. His teacher said he was "just lovely." Dgs1 reported that his new teacher was nice.
Today I'll head to Aldi first thing. I think I'm having the boys to let dd and dsil buy stuff for their holiday, but it hasn't been confirmed. Have a good day all

Bellasnana Sat 13-Jun-26 06:14:57

Good morning from Malta where it is sunny with a high of 31°C forecast.

Had my roots done yesterday then went to Lidl. There was a cool breeze blowing which made being out in the sun a lot easier.

Watched a bit of tennis, did a bit of laundry, generally pottered about. I’m happiest at home, always have been. DH had to be on the go all the time. Well they do say opposites attract!😊

I need to do a bit of cleaning today, the floors need steam mopping. I do my cleaning in bits as it’s too hot to do it all in one go like I used to when I was younger and fitter.

Wishing you all the best day possible. Thoughts to all with troubles.☀️

Llamas99 Sat 13-Jun-26 06:08:08

Mick, loss of weight and lower blood pressure readings would be great for me but perhaps not good for you!
Hope to hear soon that you have had a checkup with your health carers!

Melanie61 Sat 13-Jun-26 06:06:32

Good morning from Sheffield
A good nights sleep was enjoyed last night, it makes such a difference. I feel I can face the day with enthusiasm.

I’m not sure what today will bring. I think I will garden , lots of things need tidying up after the recent rain and wind.
I have been donated a lovely stone planter which needs planting up so I will nip to the garden centre for a bag of compost and see what plants they have.
Then an easy evening , take care everyone flowers

Astitchintime Sat 13-Jun-26 06:05:44

Good morning from the NE Mids. Very light breeze this morning which I hope will keep the rainclouds away. Lots of jobs planned for today including pegging out some washing, hence the need for a dry day.
Have a good day one and all!

grandMattie Sat 13-Jun-26 05:56:54

Good morning from Bristol. Sunshine! ☀️☀️☀️
I’ve only just woken up; such a treat, especially after yesterday’s 0230. I was very tired.
Yesterday went well. At Spanish, we watched an interesting documentary about the controversies surrounding the World Cup; political, financial and environmental due to being held in three very different countries.
I did quite a bit of sewing, mostly quilting the squares before assembling. I also did two deliveries of paperwork/letters to the residents.
Today, apart from serving at coffee and chat, pre-conservatoire youngsters are holding a concert in the church for the Suzuki academy in Kiev. (Not surprisingly) I’m serving the refreshments, as well as welcoming patrons. The concert should be interesting as it promises classical to jazz music.
I hope this finds you in a good place.

Good morning Mick you’re awake early but then so am I. It’s the start of a promising sunny day here on the east coast of Fife where the birds are chirping away. I’m going to have family visiting early this morning we’re all going to be busy bees. I’ll have a shower and wash my hair first thing once I get help to get up. Then I’ll have a poached egg on toast and another piece of toast with butter and marmalade, my usual fresh orange juice with bits.

Have a good day all those who come after me 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
