I agree. I don't care whether you like them or not booing is just wrong.
I thought it was awful the way Catherine and her three children were booed by anti-monarchists when in the open carriage at the Trooping of the Colour. Be as against a Monarchy as you like but you don't boo innocent children who have no control over which family they're born into. And the same applies to Harry and Meghan and their children if they appear in public on the visit.

They were here for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, I think it was, and she had her first birthday here.

About the only time we’ve ever seen a proper photo of her.

The Williams sister will be at Wimbledon the same time so that will be a good photo opportunity.

I have not followed the story of Harry and Megan very closely. But Harry is Charles's son and his children are Charles's grandchildren. Family estrangement is tragic and I hope the king will find a way to reconcile with his son and family. And that it can be done quietly and in private, and will last the King's lifetime.

I have no strong views either way about H & M but I remember some of the interview they gave after their engagement. He said something about being so happy he'd found someone who understood the "job" he did and was willing to work alongside him in the Royal Family. I remember feeling happy for them both. How sad that didn't work out as he expected, for whatever reason.

Oh for goodness sake, the RF, in many ways, are no different from any other families. They fight, they argue, some resent their siblings, some parents play favourites.

The differences are the RF “rows and scandals” are played out publicly.

The book and the Oprah interview were big mistakes, however many books exist about many royals, some with the royal approval and cooperation, some not.

Andrew, the King and Diana, Princess of Wales all gave disastrous public interviews and all had staff and sometimes friends, who deliberately or accidentally released snippets to the press or others.

I don’t take sides, I don’t know any of them personally and I simply have little interest other than hoping (most of them) remain in good health and can resolve their differences.

On a personal level, imo, King Charles would like to see his Californian grandchildren and reunite with his younger son.

Be learned in life most of we read is pure speculation or what people think happened or would want to happen.

I wonder if any of the public, who immediately put this couple down, no matter when they are in the news have never had a falling out with family?
It's not unusual, but because of who this family are, many feel they have a right to start being downright nasty about them.
It's good if they can meet up again and spend time together.
I'm sure I've read the King is covering security for them and offered accommodation. Lots of grandparents would do the same.
They have plenty going spare, why not.
I don't blame them keeping the children from the limelight .

I have nothing against Harry and Megan, and truly hope they can find some kind of peace in their lives, if only for the stability of their children. I can't help thinking the trouble really started with that car crash interview with Oprah Winfrey, who should have known better than to gasp theatrically 'Whaat??' when Megan volunteered the information about the royal 'conversation' re the baby she'd had reported to her. I had good friends in a 'mixed marriage', as they used to call it, and I do remember when they were expecting their first child, many of us mused about the baby's looks. This had nothing to do with racism, it was simply human curiosity! I'm happy to report the 'baby' turned out to be a great chap who has done very well in life. and his dad is justifiably proud of him. Sadly, his mum is no longer with us.

Shall we see the children's faces when they come? Or will they be so low profile we shall not see them at all.

I'm pretty sure that had an invitation to visit been given to Charles from H & M and he'd declined, the whole world would have been told about it.

Cossy Sadly, in my opinion, Meghan and Harry are not suited. She’s too “American” and truly doesn’t seem to appears to understand the restrictions and “duty” of the British RF. Harry is clearly “damaged”.
