Good afternoon Madeleine. What a huge relief to see you back. Everyone has been so concerned about you. Glad it was nothing worse than a technical hiccup.
Looking forward to reading your interesting news each morning. smile

Aww, the little chap has settled for a nap and I thought I'd check back to see how the detective work was going.

So lovely to see you back, Madeleine.

supernanauna1 Mon 29-Jun-26 13:05:45

"Waving",
Hello Madeleine glad to see you back on the GM thread ( and elsewhere of course) -you and your interesting posts have been missed. x

GrandmaC47 Mon 29-Jun-26 11:36:24

Good to have you back, Madeleine

Greyduster Mon 29-Jun-26 11:28:40

Welcome back Madelaine - hoped it was you on the other threads👍🏻!

madeleine45 Mon 29-Jun-26 11:25:10

Just seen the extra posts as to whether it was me or not. Quite right , I had just managed to make the laptop work and thought it was too late to go onto the usual post. How nice to think you were looking out for me. Thankyou

GrannyGravy13 Mon 29-Jun-26 11:24:01

Hello madeleine45 it really is great to see you posting on this thread 🙋‍♀️

madeleine45 Mon 29-Jun-26 11:21:04

A belated good morning all, have just read through your posts and catching up a little. Life has had its ups and downs, and I wanted to get back a couple of weeks ago and my laptop just would not work, so finally here I am. Dont know if you will read this as it is much later than normal. With only my phone working it was no good trying to use it to post on. Drives me mad to use it, as it is so slow .

Yesterday first bit of cooler day for a long time. Have been reverting to old habits from damascus days and curtains and windows firmly shut until late in the evening when things are cooler. Seems odd to have a lamp on to read something but worth it to keep a bit cooler. Hope you are all managing to keep cool. At least quite slimming as no incentive to cook much during the day eh? Between the heat and my back, sleeping is on and off at odd times right now but am trying to get back to some sort of routine.

Hope your day is going well

mrsfeather Mon 29-Jun-26 11:14:07

Thank you for your replies. I am not sure it was our Madeleine posting as she did not have 45 after her name.Hoping I am wrong and it is her though.

paddyann54 Mon 29-Jun-26 10:50:00

Marydoll sorry to see life isn,t getting any easier for you.
I think that sometimes life throws someone else’s share of troubles our way .
I hope your GP gets a referral today for him and lets you get some peace of mind.
If your OH has had a long running infection that might be at the root of his other issues. This might be the key to getting him well again .
I,m sure you have everyone here hoping that’s the case .Best wishes Pat x

Our Madeleine was also a sailor , she posted regularly about it.

Redcar Mon 29-Jun-26 10:44:41

She mentioned she had lived abroad so I think it may be “our” madeleine

monk08 Mon 29-Jun-26 10:43:06

She posted in heatwave recovery on the health forum.

GrandmaC47 Mon 29-Jun-26 10:42:36

That post was Madeleine45 on health forum. Did our Madeleine have 45 in her name. I can’t remember.

Georgesgran Mon 29-Jun-26 10:38:00

Madeleine45 posted on a thread about Travel, titled ‘Road Trip Anyone?’ but I’m not convinced it’s Madeleine from the Thirsk area.

mamaa Mon 29-Jun-26 10:28:38

mrsF it was one with tips on how to keep cool during the recent heatwave, there were two threads with similar content but unfortunately I cant remember the exact thread title, sorry. She posted over the weekend.

mrsfeather Mon 29-Jun-26 10:13:15

What forum was Madeleine's post on please?

mamaa Mon 29-Jun-26 10:06:28

Morning all, I don't post anywhere all that often but read this and Soops most days. I too saw Madeleines post and for some reason wondered the same as GeorgesGran on reading the post. Maybe she was just testing the waters and will be back on this thread too.
Enjoy the 'coolth' if you can, I think Ive done more so far this morning than I have for about the last 4 days!
Thoughts to all mountaineers. xx

Good morning,

Feeling much fresher outside today, so I hope to get into the garden for some essential gardening work.

Some beautiful garden pictures posted today - thank you. Keep them coming 😊.

Rain isn’t forecast today, but looking at the sky, it just might. It’s definitely needed, but I’d like to get my lawn cut first.

Sending kind thoughts to all feeling unwell or coping with difficulties. I hope today will bring you some comfort.

GrandmaC47 Mon 29-Jun-26 09:31:23

Blissfully cool here in Co Durham.
Safe travels to those on the move and hoping our poorlies get relief soon. Md 💐
I saw a photo of Muker on fb yesterday and immediately thought of Madeleine, missing her lovely posts.
Blossoming if you’re reading this I wish you well.
My leg and knee are still sore with bruising everywhere. Almost two weeks now.
Lovely pictures again today.

GrannySomerset Mon 29-Jun-26 09:21:55

The welcome drop in temperature, even if temporary, has spurred me into action and after DS and DDiL’s quick visit I have laundered and replaced their bedding and now have towels in the wash with more to follow. It’s good not to feel like a zombie, which I did last week.

Sorry Mdoll is having such an anxious and difficult time and hope for more positive news soon, and hope that Grammaretto reaches the right decision soon - it would be good to be able to embark on the next step.
