Heard on Sky news Mexico has torrential rain and thunderstorms so it could be cancelled 😔

Good advice from OP but I fail to see the connection with the thread title.
Do we need «respite» from the England team/the World Cup/football in general?
Apart from watching any matches which I have chosen to, the England team have not impacted my life in any way.
And I should have thought for those who have little or no interest, the timing of this match was something they could easily ignore.

fgt I didn't think of that but I doubt if that would be allowed.

I intend to sleep right through it.

I don't really like football but as the England game was on at 5pm when we would normally be sat down with a drink I watched it. DH is a fan of Harry Kane as he is a Spurs not supporter but been a fan since living nearby in London as a child. I was so surprised at myself for shouting when Harry got the second goal. I wonder if I am being converted- not watching at 1am though.

England should’ve stayed in the same hotel as Mexico!

England players have been so lack lustre I don't think I will waste my beauty sleep.

If the Mexican fans try to keep the players awake, I think Mexico should be eliminated.

There is a game at 8pm too.

its a 01:00am kick off against Mexico ,so hopefully there will be no complaints about missing any ones favourite programme.
For those intending watching the game maybe a good evenings sleep and get up early.
