Supposed to be a scriptwriter by trade. Must know people in the media then. And is probably being paid to do this naff act.

I think Binface sounds like a posh silly, Public School Six Former. A sort of Monty Python Dalek crossed with the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz.

It's a shame that the two other candidates are splitting the vote, it would be great if Farage bit the dust.

but to be fair, you would need to read back over a number of threads through time to realise that there are a whole variety of pretty sophisticated views and debate from many parts of the political spectrum including well for example at the time of the election really strong representations from all sides.

And you'd have to read the many threads that jumped onto Starmer in the early days to realise your critique is very one sided and to be frank, using an old and such a well worn label ("woke") it isn't now being used a lot, its over use has negated its original punch.

To realise that this thread is a bit of a summer holiday thread at something clearly so ludicrous that it is risible and is being enjoyed as such.

Farage is first and foremost, a free-market libertarian.

The economically disadvantaged 'have nots' in his deprived constituency should dwell on that before they vote him back again. Maybe look at the 'brutal' American model of Capitalism, of which he's a proponent, before casting their vote for this 'man-of-the-people'.

If they believe that stopping-the-boats will result in a redistribution of finances to the public services and benefits that maybe quite a few rely on, they are going to be disappointed.

IMO it shows nothing of the kind, it is yet more whipping up division, and was utterly, completely, unnecessary.

The other parties have enough on their plate - tackling at last the care system, all trying their other crucial issues like the NHS facing the summer - Trumps effectively creating an oil crisis and prices maybe affected for all of us in the winter -

rather than engage in this childish self-whining and grandiosity and demanding that all join in!

It’s been made very clear in the press that the Police do not believe this atrocious act of murder of Anne Widdecombe is either political or terrorism.

Speculation is never helpful.

Farage has £5m to spend on security, he appears to have no issues socialising in Frinton or Great Bentley nor jetting off here, there and everywhere.

As I said earlier, if Farage is afraid of fulfilling his entire MP role he should do something else.

The other parties not even putting up a contender for Clacton shows their indifference/distain for the town and its people.

I hope that the people of Clacton go to the Polling Stations in their droves and re-elects NF. Judging by the onscreen interviews I've seen, they appear to have the intelligence and wisdom to do so.
