I'm so irritated by having been notified by three different organisations - a breast cancer charity, a local charity, and a London museum (also a charity) of a data breach, in orher words their systems were hacked. So that's three charities that had holes in their Beacon database security protocols despite the pledges of "we take your security seriously" on their websites. I'm now either deleting my account or changing passwords. Horse and gate ...😡
Late on Tuesday afternoon, Beacon confirmed that copies of database backups were created and are likely to have been downloaded unlawfully by an unauthorised third party.
