Trying to log on the Virgin Flying Club this morning and I was going round in circles being asked to verify my email - they'd send me code - I'd enter it but it kept saying wrong code so I clicked on the chatbot in the hope of being transferred to an agent. When I explained (to the chatbot) what was happening it answered that it was very concerned that I was having these problems and suggested I get in touch with the Samaritans! It did make me angry but not suicidal 🙄

I use a local taxi company but I had to ask them to remove the chatbot from my account because it wanted to know 141, Cedar Tree Road whereas I would say Specavers, same road and the human would be happy.

I have the same with a couple of sites. They keep on and on asking for passwords , sending things to reset it through the email and then telling you, yet again, it is the wrong password. I am in a wine club that does this and last time I just gave up and went and collected my wine from the local bottle shop instead. They missed out on the money, serves ‘em right .

They are handy with general questions though
As I have a glut of cucumbers I asked ChatCPT what I could do other than pickle then and it told me I could cook them in stir fries just like courgettes, and by gum you can, and very nice too, it went on to give me some recipes, at the end I said thank you, politely and have a nice day. Then realising who I was writing to I wrote sorry I forgot you were a robot and the answer I got was ‘even robots liked to be wished a nice day’

I’ve used ChatGbt. It’s brilliant This last week have been so nauseous with Nitrofurantain. It gave me good advice and encouragement to complete the course .when I thought my uti was back again after finishing them. He explained why this might not be the case. Told
me to relax for the first day and the symptoms might go as quickly as they came. He was right. He was informative and accurate.

I keep having disagreements with mine...it is not always correct so you do need to check things for yourself.

CHATBOTS are useful for common problem solving but hopeless for anything out of the ordinary. I wasted five hours of my life trying to get rid of some unsightly telecom wires left hanging by a long past technician. I went round and round in circles always ending up where I started. After some deep digging I found a phone number who responded and glibly told me I was talking to the wrong section. Sos back to the bots again!
