I have been wearing cotton slooggi for years, comfortable for daytime but they come up small so buy a large size than you usually buy. M&S cotton for night time.

Why not Mojack?

Mojack26 Wed 02-Sept-26 15:06:50

Oh please.... advice on underwear..😅

I buy pure cotton briefs from ASDA, bigger than I need and then wash and dry at a high temperature. They shrink the first time but never again, the lycra keeps them stretchy and they're lovely and soft so they don't show visible lines under my gym leggings. They are a better shape than the M&S ones, more clingy.
I also prefer midi but don't seem to be able to get them any longer, I don't like the Sloggi ones because the elastic is too tight.

Still buying packs of 5 white and black ones from M & S. Not buying the bras though Triumph or JL which are Triumph.

I don't like white or black. I also prefer pretty colours. Have you tried my corner shop Amazon? I also prefer midi which is a rarity these days. That is my only suggestion.

i go commando and have done for years (although i keep a few pairs of "big girl knickers" for doctor and hospital visits)! less shopping and less washing are two benefits.

I have been boycotting Amazon for many years, so that's an automatic no-no for me. Jeff Bezos is already plenty rich enough. I do like Sloggi undies but they are definitely a bit on the pricey side. However, I do find John Lewis own brand cotton & Lycra knickers to be very comfortable, as well as good value, and better quality than M&S, so I would recommend them to anybody.

I like high leg style knickers but don’t like anything with a full lace back to them (very unflattering imo 🤣) So I buy ones called Amelia from M&S but very often the colour options are just AWFUL! Every so often though they introduce a pretty colour palette so I’m able to add to my collection! I hate beige, brown or cream colours for underwear!

Step One bamboo briefs and boxers are the best.

Haven't we had similar recent discussions about knickers on GN? I'm sure I've recommended Sloggi knickers, more than once! However I can't find anything in the forums....

I love Sloggi, pricey but worth it and sometimes they have a sale. Otherwise full white or black cotton knickers from M&S. Wish I could have give commando in the heatwave but without being too grim about it I need to wear a pad in my knickers due to bladder leaks.

I’ve recently bought several pairs of pants from Stripe & Stare which is a dreadful name, but the pants are the most comfortable I’ve ever worn.

Whingey Tue 01-Sept-26 17:40:22

Peacocks have nice comfy knickers

It all depends what your personal preference is. I always go for high waisted high leg knickers. Am too old for thongs and need something comfortable, but there is plenty of choice these days.

pably15 Tue 01-Sept-26 14:09:25

what about navy gym knickers , with a pocket...

Wheniwasyourage Tue 01-Sept-26 14:07:39

I want to buy some too, although I don't actually need any, so won't really buy some. However, I keep looking in M&S, where I have bought some nice ones before, but the packs of 5 all seem to be either pink or lacy (neither of which I like) or various shades of yuck. And that's before you even start sorting out the thongs from the full-sized bloomers and everything in between. Why don't they still do cheerful colours with patterns or flowers?

Sorry, OP, that is of no use in your search for suggestions grin

Advise on buying knickers!?

I want to buy some. I don’t really know what I want though, I quite fancy a change from the super Amazon ones I’ve been using for years though and wondered if anyone has any suggestions?
