Celebrating

Has anyone noticed how celebrating has grown? When I left school in the 70’s it was a case of “whoopee” we’ve left school, t.shirts signed. Now they have graduation ceremonies from nursery school. Also big birthdays were celebrated, 30, 40 etc now they celebrate 35, 45 etc., is this all going too far?

No! The more celebrations and reasons to celebrate, the better.

Just my view, enough awful things in the world, I welcome any reason for a celebration. 🍾🥂

Totally agree cossy I will celebrate the proverbial opening of an envelope

I think every birthday should be celebrated, by the birthday person and the one that gave birth 🍾🥂🎉

I’m not keen on celebrations for myself, but more than happy to go along with anything the DDs or friends have planned to celebrate.
We are the ‘idiots’ who do a half birthday - long story!

Totally agree Cossy, any opportunity to “lighten our darkness” should be taken.
