So easy to forget the good things, when so many of us have so many challenges and scary stuff and just life to deal with on a daily basis.

So today, on Monday, I’m going to rejoice and name 5 things I’m so grateful to have today!

A lovely comfy warm bed!
A family (even though they drive me nuts)
Better health than some, though not the best.
Retirement!
Friends.

Your turn.

Let’s be positive and forget the awfulness of our world, just for a few moments and reflect on the good, the nice and the lovely thanks

5 things

- the health of my husband and I is generally good
- the grandchildren are all well and doing well
- both daughters now husbandless but not unhappy about it
- we don't have any money worries
- warm comfortable house

Yes to books, presently rereading sense and sensibility, such a joy as the nights draw in.

Thanks for this thread Cossy, with all that is bad in the world is nice to think of what is good 💐

Yes I always count my blessings.

Our wonderful son, daughter and grandson.
My dog and cats.
A warm, secure home.
I lost my husband, my best friend and confidante, in June but he’s with me always.

My wonderful husband
My family and friends
My house with all its home comforts and the garden.
My fairly newly adopted town and surrounding countryside, I've come to love it a lot, having moved out of London 5 and half years ago, enjoying a less frenetic and slower pace here.
Books, I'm never without one.
Enough money and enough food, never to be taken for granted plus the choice of supermarkets where I live
Freedom

Basgetti - so sorry for your loss flowers

It's always good to look at the best in one's life to bring a smile:
My puppy
My family
My new cookery book, all 718 pages
Music in the background
Good health all round

Grandma70s

My sons and grandchildren, first and foremost.

A brain that still works, more or less!

Music and books.

Peace and quiet.

Enough money. This is more important than I would like it to be.

I second Grandma70s list, word for word. (Also have three perfect sons)

Especially music - the making of and listening to. Preferably with nobody coughing. And sunshine. And washing on the line.

Today I am so incredibly thankful that DH's sky high BP, headache, vision distortion and struggle with words over the weekend has been confirmed by the hospital as not a second stroke. Thanking God that his headache has gone, now need to find out what is wrong with his eyesight, but have got an appointment for this evening.

Great news that our boiler has finally been fixed and we have heating and hot water!
Of course our lovely family, friends and neighbours, support from our Church, and enough money to look after ourselves.

And Gransnetters! 🙂

Being at home in my own bed after surgery last week
Support of loved ones
The NHS free at the point of delivery
Feeling safe and comfortable in my own home
The exceptionally kind anaesthetist who took time to reassure and calm me when I had a wobble on arrival to theatre suite thank you.
