I can’t just sit but please don’t feel guilty snd just enjoy it. I’m sewing together some daisy squares then roast chicken for dinner.

I always have a list divided into three. Short term medium term long term. If I get overload I have to opt out onto gransnet or mumsnet. And I do feel a slight nagging guilt but if DH is doing nothing but watch all day news I feel less guilt.

I’m with FGT too, it’s cold and misty outside, the house is warm, clean, ironing is done and dinner is planned.
Long chat with my brother, he rang me and my daughter called in, what’s not to like and be grateful for.

I agree with*fgt*. I retired fully many years ago so if I wish to do zilch, I do. I am not in a position to do much anyway so it suits me fine.

I have to have something going on every day otherwise I’m bored stiff. I have a restless nature and doing nothing doesn’t suit me. My Mum once said Why can’t you just BE? I said I don’t know but I just can’t.

No idea
I never have a problem

What is life if one cannot stop and stare?

Relentless activity suits some. Not me. I think it’s overrated.

I am a really active person,I don’t like waking up without a plan or a list.

Today I have neither, once we returned from the remembrance service, I lit the wood burner and sat down, other than cooking a roast later there is nothing other than reading and sitting!

Why do I feel guilty?
