Imagination now needed.
Imagine you have £100 to buy yourself a Christmas present.

What would be your choice, the perfect gift for you?
I am unsure of my answer but I know it's not household items or clothes.

What would you give yourself?

I would use it to stock up on a quality skin serum, day cream and night cream. I didn't use to look after my skin very well but at the ripe old age of 73 have started to do so (plus two litres of water per day) and, after a couple of months, begin to see a difference. This gives me SUCH a boost to my morale! - It's never too late.

I was given 100 gift at Christmas by my lovely mum. I was just about to spend it on some estee lauder perfume and moisturizer, when a speeding fine came through the letterbox ! First one ever, doing 36 in a 30 just before Christmas. ?

Books, the latest crime fiction without having to wait for the prices to come down.
That's sod's law katyj, how annoying for you.

Katyj I feel your pain. Happened to me the week after I was 70 and had my first photo licence.
I'd get myself a subscription to Ancestry.com and while away waste some happy hours .
How many horse riding lessons could I get for £100? Safer than driving.

I would bank it until spring then spend it on plants for the garden.

I think I would like to spend it on a day out with my daughter and sil. They are very good company and I know there would be laughter. ?

Grammaretto Sat 19-Jan-19 08:00:56

Katyj I think if I were you I'd still buy the nice perfumes or some at least. You may as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb and you would smell fragrant. grin
After all your mum wanted you to spend it on yourself.

I'd take my beloved son out to dinner somewhere nice.
He's such a good man and is very kind to his old Mum so it'd be nice to treat him. Treat for me too.

I too would get an Ancestry subscription. I really want to investigate our family but keep putting it off as I never seem to have the time for a good run at it!

Very true Grammeretto.I'm checking the price regularly, see if I can bag a bargain.I'm not used to spending much on myself, everything seems so expensive these days .

Normally I would say air of earrings but feeling the way I do at the moment, I’d say a spa day. A chance to get away from it all.

Grammaretto Sat 19-Jan-19 09:30:20

A DNA kit to find out where my ancestors came from.
And a nice quality face cream.

EllanVannin Sat 19-Jan-19 10:21:29

A lesson on how to apply make-up-------properly. If anything left, a nice perfume.

paddyann Sat 19-Jan-19 13:59:04

I did get £100 from MIl at christmas and I bought some beautiful tan leather ankle boots with 4 inch heels .They'll last for years .She knows I usually spend it on footwear though last year it was a fur jacket(fake) worn once an dpassed on to my sister after I lost weight .I wont lose weight on my feet !
