A famous matador gored by bull!

Poor things. Goaded even before they enter the ring. Very nasty business. Bully for the Bull!

Why is this even considered a form of entertainment? Just horrible

We were in Seville last week and were surprised to see posters for upcoming bullfights. I didn't think they still happened.

Most blood sports have been banned in the UK but hunts continue to kill foxes for their entertainment and other disgustingly cruel ‘sports’ flourish out of sight. Hare coursing and dog fights are always done for betting. The police are not interested and the very rare prosecutions impose ludicrously small fines.

I think gloating over any violent death is unnecessary.

Maybe tell that to the many who gloat over the bloodthirsty death of the poor bulls. Matadors understand and accept the risks. Bulls don’t.

I agree. Much as I loathe the very thought of bull fighting and any other blood sports, I was shocked by some of the above posts.

Don’t believe he died. Though of course he knew that was a possibility as he stepped into the ring.

As I said above, he didn't die.

Surely that's the risk they take though? I'll spare my sympathy for the poor bulls. They have no choice in the matter - the matadors do.
