Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight at the moment but its dry and cold outside here in Brackley .
Todays plans will do a bus trip into Bicester , have a coffee and a bite to eat then shop maybe see people I know, may return around lunchtime as well for a beer ,
Plan to have my usual Chinese Take Away later as well.
Health OK cutting back on the Lopermide capsules as they build up number 2 and gives me impression of weight gain.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Bristol. Another lovely day is forecast. The dawn chorus is in full swing - but - it’s a rather chilly 4C atm…
Yesterday threw me a surprise lunch with DD here. The family gave me a smart speaker for my birthday, but it had not been fully set up. So she came to lunch (Friday is her day off) to finish it off. It wasn’t entirely successful as for some reason, she told it to tell me that it was time for bed - as an example of what it could do. She thought she’d cancelled it. Ha! Imagine my surprise and amusement when I was packed off to bed at 9 pm!
In the afternoon, I helped set up the clothes swap/sale in church today. An interesting assortment of things.
Today, I have the first COVID jab of the year. I normally feel unwell for a couple of days, but from what I have heard, this one is fairly vicious.
The clothes swap is part of the church’s eco fair. I’ll be there for a good couple of hours this afternoon. Fairly tiring.
Have a good weekend all. May your road be flat and smooth. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning, it’s chilly here in south Glos but another lovely sunny day forecast.
I started cleaning the inside of my windows yesterday, only managed the front window in the living room and patio doors before too breathless, it really is ridiculous how little I can do at the moment. I will carry on this morning, my Shed windows need doing too.
My lovely gardener came so it’s looking beautiful at the moment, I think I get most pleasure from my garden so that’s my priority for getting help.
Tiddler and I spent a few hours in the shed, I did my embroidery while she laid in the sun, snoring. She’s my little shadow, bigger dog prefers being flat out on the patio or the sofa 🙄
Still no word from the hospital re the PET CT results, apparently there’s a backlog on reporting and it could be 3-4 weeks. I’m becoming resigned to whatever happens 🤷🏼‍♀️, I never imagined I’d still be waiting to see an oncologist over 2 months after the urgent referral. It’s ridiculous. I have looked at going private but I can’t afford to do so for treatment so that’s just throws you back into the system.
Anyway, the sun’s going to shine today, I’m going to sit in the garden and enjoy it while embroidering and listening to a podcast. There’s washing to get done and I will clean the kitchen and Shed windows first.
Wishing you all a lovely day x
🌹

Good morning from Malta where you can hear a pin drop it’s so quiet. A sunny day is forecast with a high of 25°C.

Had my weekly hairdo yesterday then I went to look after the boys at their home as they were both fast sleep after school.

DGS1 woke first so I had the pleasure of his company for a while before trying to wake DGS2. He was very sleepy and cuddly but my instructions were not to let him sleep past 4.30!

I had the most ecstatic welcome from Milo dog who had been to the groomer! He looks funny when he has been shaved, poor fellow!

Nothing much planned for today other than some cleaning and laundry.

There’s tennis from Madrid but nobody I’m interested in is playing. Alcaraz is injured and will miss the rest of the clay season so I expect Sinner will be adding points to keep his No.1 status.

RosesandLilac I’m so sorry you are being kept waiting like this. It’s appalling to be honest. You are being so courageous in getting on with life but it must feel as though you are carrying a huge weight around with you.😞💐

It’s now over a week since we heard from madeleine. It’s very concerning.

Hope you all have some joy in your day.☀️

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is just getting into its stride here and it’s going to be warm again.

Yesterday it was hot and after walking to school and back and then down to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription I didn’t want to be outside so the lawn didn’t get cut. That will be a job for later today. DS phoned very late for a chat. They are going away on Sunday for a couple of weeks and will be away for his birthday.

Today, after a quick shop at Aldi, will be a gardening day. I also have some shepherds pie base to make and a batch of Bolognese sauce for the freezer.

Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning, it’s another beautiful morning in South Lanarkshire. I could get used to this.

After my nail appointment yesterday DH and I took a run down to the Clyde Valley to have a wander around some of the garden centres. We enjoyed tea and scones in the newest one and bought a couple of plants.

Today is DS’s middle child’s sixth birthday and we’re going over to Edinburgh for the first time since DH’s knee replacement surgery seven weeks ago.

Roses, I’m so sorry that you’re having to wait so long to be seen, it’s cruel.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from Sheffield

It’s going to be another beautiful day, you can nearly see the garden growing

A busy weekend ahead with Grandson duties.
We have the two youngest grandsons overnight. It is their daddy’s 40th so he and my daughter are going away for a night

We also have the gorgeous cockapoo, he is from a different branch of the family

I think the plan will be a skate park and walk this afternoon. Hopefully this will tire everyone out, and they will all sleep tonight

I’m just enjoying tib before mayhem ensues

Take care everyone flowers

Good morning from beautiful s somerset, cold nights and warm sunny days, what`s not to like

*Rosesandlilac its in your username, how much you like nature and flowers, they calm and they keep you grounded. You are so aware of the beautiful things in your life, they heal more than you know

Yesterday was utterly glorious and busy but also relaxing. I decided to do the whole weeks washing and that resulted in me bottoming my bedroom, moving furniture, doing skirtings.

Finally, six good items of clothing, packed them and carried them to the salvation army bank, which was empty

My lafuma is out of the garage, I am glad I bought a padded comfortable one, two years ago and I have a storage bag on one side and a tray on the other side which is always horizontal, it has a section to keep my drink safe. The sun was so strong and my pram umbrella was useless so I have ordered a recliner sunshade. I need to keep the sun off my face and certainly out of my eyes. I had several sessions outside, lying back and reading, with cold watermelon for my mid morning break. It was bliss yesterday

I did order 6 more beautiful bright cranesbill plants, the ones I have are beautiful pops of colour in my fairy glen sedum garden. I have a few spaces that need these pops. No grass in my garden, just mounds of ground cover

I anticipate a good day today, trainers and slippers are in the washing machine and any food is prepped and easy. I will be out for a town walk at nine and will generally be on and off the lafuma until 2 when the sun moves off the nearest patio. Must take advantage of this week, this early summer

Good morning from a sunny hotel room with a view of the sea. Today we have DHs meeting of his railway group. Some of the wives do attend but my great friend in the group died some years ago and I find it all rather different now.

Good morning all from a very quiet campsite near Kidderminster where it is a beautiful calm cool morning. DH is out with Crazy dog and I’m taking a break from packing the camper up. We are almost ready to head north.
Hopefully we can get ahead of the traffic. Thinking of all with problems, worries and ill health. Take care everyone.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and cloudy. Roses it's awful that you haven't been seen yet. Bellasnana we darent let the boys nap in the afternoon on a school day. They would never go to bed! I'm another who is hoping nothing is wrong with Madeleine.
Yesterday was a lovely day, wasn't it? I had a washing hung out on the whirly by eight o'clock. I did half an hour in the school library and had a chat to the Head Teacher and the Depute. Then home where I did some weeding. I sat out a little while but the garden is needing work done to it, so it didn't make me happy. Later I brought in the now dried washing plus one wasp which had been hiding. It was removed post haste. I loathe wasps. A quiet night ensued, although I was up 4 times in the night.
Today my plans have changed. I won't be going for breakfast today but rather tomorrow. So today I'll wash the sheets etc and get the ironing done. I'll probably do more weeding. I have a couple of deliveries due- one is out for delivery already and tesco is due this afternoon. Maybe omelette for dinner. Have a good day all.

Good afternoon from a sunny Glasgow, where it is 12 C.

I have decided to wear a dress, in the hope that it will distract from my hair. wink.

I am off to open up the Parish Hall for Mass, the first time, we will have weekend Mass there.
It will be very interesting, as we have lost our huge car park to the builders. I suspect it will be chaotic!

Enjoy the rest of the day, everyone. R&L.💐

harrigran Sat 25-Apr-26 14:03:16

Good afternoon, no access all morning.
Hope everyone is okay.

GrandmaC47 Sat 25-Apr-26 14:07:15

I wonder what time gransnet came back? My day feels incomplete 😀

GrannyGravy13 Sat 25-Apr-26 14:13:16

Good afternoon from a sunny S E Essex 🌞

A busy day so far, local butchers and Aldi, three loads of washing and general pottering.

RosesandLilac your wait is unreasonably long…

Grammaretto Sat 25-Apr-26 14:13:43

Me too Redcar I was getting withdrawal symptoms.

I'm outside in my sunny garden soaking up Vitamin D.

I was helping at our Saturday cafe with its brand new kitchen including a dishwasher which only takes a couple of minutes.

I've planted out lettuces in my raised bed and covered the whole bed with a pigeon proof gauze.

I may do one trip to the tip before Gaelic café. And before I lend my car to a friend.

Yesterday was lovely and sunny but I wisely didn't strip off too many layers because after the art exhibition I bought a painting my friend drove us to Portobello where we intended to sit on the prom and eat our fish suppers. By 8pm the haar had descended so we sat in the car to keep warm.

I hope the weekend goes well for all of you.
What happened to the site?

Afternoon, another sunny day in S Hants, slightly cooler, my son called in this morning to borrow our strimmer, we caught up with his news.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Just returned from garden centre and lunch at DS1’s in the garden. Too hot in the sun but chilly in the shade. We moved around their large garden, according to how warm/cold we were.

Thought I’d try to get on to Gransnet again and there you all were. 👋.

DS and I got all the plants into the pots which had held daffs. They have been removed and I’ll have to decide what to do with them. We usually take them up to our cottage garden, but of course not this year. 😢.

I saw gd2 and 3 who are having a little gathering at their house this evening, so were getting organised for friends arriving . They were doing some baking and sorting out music and entertainment. It’s so lovely listening to their lives and hopes for the future.

Dg3 ,their cousin, on the other hand, is indisposed with suspected ACL injury. She is a dancer and athlete and hopes this will be her future. Scans booked for Monday to see exactly what’s happened to her knee . Her leg is in cased into a contraption with dials to tighten /loosen. Poor love is so concerned and worried.

I’ll spend the rest of the afternoon reading the papers in the conservatory.

I hope alls well with you all.🌺

Bellasnana Sat 25-Apr-26 14:43:04

Google is your friend, Rosiesmaw. I hadn’t a clue either. Evidently it’s a French make of garden furniture so I’m guessing a sun lounger or similar.

loopyloo Sat 25-Apr-26 14:43:24

I missed you all this morning!
