A light hearted and frivolous look at Royal Ascot

I thought all the Royals looked lovely yesterday, with Zara Tindall and the new Mrs. Phillips taking top spots for me.

It was nice to see one of the team from the Queen's Reading Room in the carriage procession. In the same carriage was Ben Elliott - Camilla's nephew, once co-Chair of the Conservative Party, founder of the Quintisentially group - a very posh concierge service. Interestingly, he is married to Steve Winood's daughter, Clare. A merger of two very different cultures.

There were some very elegant outfits yeterday, along with the normal bizarre and downright awful.

Wasn't keen on Mary Berry's outfit.

I thought the new Mrs Phillips looked lovely. I wonder if she will be given a few charities to support. They seem to be gradually easing her in, she seems charming. Zara always looks good and she and Mike coordinate their outfits.

Lots of fabulous hats and headpieces in general. Some weird and wonderful ones too.

Look forward to today’s offerings.

I don’t think the new Mrs Phillips will be given any charities or similar.

Why would she? She’s married to the King’s nephew, yes, but he is not a working member of the Royal family, never has been.

Autumn Phillips, his first wife, attended royal events, but nothing to do with working.
