BUMBOS

My little toughies of GSs just tipped them straight over - useless pointless items.

I had one for the weaker of DD's twins when she just didn't have the strength to sit up on her own for long but wanted to play with the same things as her sister (e.g. the Mothercare music table). We found it invaluable for the short time she needed it, but of course she was supervised at all times.

I could never see the point in sitting a child in an overgrown potty, if he/she is too small to sit up then they should be lying down ... end of.

My daughter's twin babies had them for a while, but they always had the trays fixed on them, which made them safer to it in. They were able to sit side by side facing each other, which helped.

gally they were recalled last year because there were injuries. www.hlntv.com/article/2012/08/15/bumbo-recall-cpsc-baby-safety Friends of ours used to put their 4 month old in one and I would feel sorry for the little thing she was too tiny for it, and it seemed to rigid for her little body (to me anyway). (I'd pick her out under the guise of wanting to hold her - although I also wanted to hold her!)
