We've got our hands on 6 pairs of Eyejusters to give away!

Eyejusters are the near vision solution we’ve all been waiting for: Adjustable focus reading glasses. Eyejusters are a single pair of glasses to replace all your reading glasses.

The glasses have two small dials tucked behind the frame to adjust the lenses for each eye independently. They allow you to move the in-focus zone at any time to the desired distance. You can adjust the lens power from +0 to +3.00D, covering the range most commonly used in daily life. You need only one pair for all close-up activities.

You could also give the glasses away as a present for your husband or children, who refuse to get their eyes tested...

Eyejusters lens units have been developed and manufactured in-house, in the UK. The technical design fits into normal, stylish frames. For more details, take a look on Eyejusters' website.

Can you imagine a day without your reading glasses? To win a pair of Eyejusters (you get to pick you own style), tell us about all the activities you need reading glasses for these days.

This competition will close at midday on Friday 10 June.

What a clever idea!
I currently have one eye adjusted for distance and one eye the lens is for close up. Not everyone can get away with this but it makes a big difference than trying to adjust or change glasses for everything. These are a brilliant idea as sometimes mid distance like computer levels are just out of close up range and not quite right for distance.
I use close up for all sorts including drawing, painting, reading and lots of intricate creative stuff.
Super duper!

These would be great for reading the small print on packets, etc. in the supermarket - I'm convinced they don't really want us to see what's in the product; cooking instructions, threading needles, crossword clues, etc.

I need reading glasses for newspapers and magazines, reading labels on food stuff, time tables at the bus stops, using the phone and working on my iPad - just to mention a few things!

those pesky instructions on food packets or medicine bottles, i'm sure the writing is getting smaller!

angie95 Mon 16-May-16 12:31:36

Can't do without a pair of reading specs at all. Have a pair in my living room and bedroom and a spare pair in my bag. Can't find my distance pair without them. Latest use is for doing the washing up. Used to tell my mother she needed to wear her reading glasses for this - I guess it comes to us all, I have become my mother!

Am shortsighted and read without glasses but am finding there are times when my eyes get tired and need some help with reading

nosnibor3 Mon 16-May-16 11:44:19

This is going to sound a bit odd, unless there is someone on here with the same problem.
I started becoming short-sighted around the age of 8, gradually my eyesight worsened, until eventually eveything was a blur - unless I wore my glasses or held books very close to my face. I hated wearing my specs! Not just for vanity, but also even with glasses on you loose your peripheral vision; several pairs became broken once my children came along. So when I was able to afford it I went over to contact lenses. These have been great, until the last couple of years when I started to become long-sighted! Yes you can have both! Now when I wear my contact lenses I need reading glasses too! I did consider eye surgery, but apart from the cost my eyes aren't suitable. I love to read, for myself, & now I read to my grandchildren too. I also like to sew, knit & draw. I would love to have a good pair of reading glasses - to help me enjoy so much again!

Painting my finger nails, if I dont get some glasses soon I will be overcome with fumes as I have to get so close to the nail varnish now!

Gosh there are so many activities that I need my glasses for - reading, reading to my grandchildren, reading to my grandchildren (who live abroad) on Skype, knitting, sewing, whilst using the computer at home and at work. In fact I need reading glasses for day to day living!!!

I need reading glasses for pretty much everything these days. I find if I do the cleaning without them on I will have do do it again with them on!

Menus in restaurants!! They always have the description of their dishes in minute print! Very frustrating ?

I wear contact lens during the day but if I'm reading in bed I'm OK without but should I need to watch the telly or look up from my book I need my glasses. These Eyejusters would be great for the adjustments! :-)

Reading labels smile

maureenm48 Mon 16-May-16 10:18:16

Threading a needle/computer/labels.

granjan Mon 16-May-16 10:16:01

Where do I begin? The list is endless. How can I not need them!

Nonnie Mon 16-May-16 10:15:16

I have different glasses for different things. My prescription ones are useless for reading in bed because the varifocal bit doesn't seem to like me lying down! When driving they sit on the top of my head, I have to have my laptop and Kindle at just the right position and for TV they are sometimes on and sometimes off! Yes, I would like one pair which would do everything please.

fatfairy Mon 16-May-16 10:10:17

Reading (of course), especially the very tiny print on small products. And making mosaics, which is my passion: difficult to cut accurately when everything is a gentle fuzz. And as for spotting shards of glass ... don't get me started!
My right eye isn't bad, my left is pretty useless, so I always need prescription glasses.

GrAnne2 Mon 16-May-16 10:07:03

More to the point: what don't I need them for?!! Presbyopia is another of the joys of old age ... They are utterly indispensable for reading the grandchildren stories; wielding a remote control (successfully) and reading instructions in general and on medication (vital for grandchildren) in particular. Where would I be without them?

JessM Mon 16-May-16 10:01:35

Everything from looking at the milky way to trying to read the tiny print on small packages, with lots of tech devices in between. Just used a needle in my left hand to extract a splinter in my right index finger. Not a hope without reading glasses.
