I hate raking up leaves sad Our garden is surrounded by a wood and the leaves are non stop, luckily grandchildren love raking them up for some hot chocolate and marshmallows smile

Grannyknot Thu 18-Aug-16 17:49:58

Murdering snails.

liz1970 Thu 18-Aug-16 17:46:43

weeding is my worst job smile

Galen Thu 18-Aug-16 16:54:23

What's a weed?

snare Thu 18-Aug-16 16:47:45

I hate weeding sad

valbuk Thu 18-Aug-16 11:02:54

I think getting the weeds from between paving slabs or paviors is an awful job especially if you have an big drive or patio - looks great for a short while but then the weeds appear again

Biddysue Thu 18-Aug-16 10:36:05

My DH loves cutting hedges with his electric hedge cutter he has a lovely time but because it is too heavy for me to use I have the wonderful???? Job of picking up the bits !

handbar Thu 18-Aug-16 10:29:01

I do not enjoy weeding where you have to pull the offenders out and cannot simply use a hoe on them. I can only do light manual work due to health problems so sometimes have to resort to weedkiller which I am not happy using.

emmav6 Thu 18-Aug-16 10:26:20

cleaning out all the used plant pots at the end of the year, bit sad but always the next year to look forward to smile

happysouls Thu 18-Aug-16 10:00:41

I don't like any heavy work as I get backache so easily and I don't like anything that involves slugs! But overall quite happy with most things, I like pottering out there, it is a really relaxing thing to do!

goose1964 Thu 18-Aug-16 09:45:36

removing brambles, we back onto a lane & they come under the frnce from there

Angelwings Thu 18-Aug-16 09:36:00

I can only do 30 minutes weeding or so before my back begins to really ache, so I will say weeding. It's a thankless task anyway because they always grow back again !

Humph Thu 18-Aug-16 09:34:46

Trying to keep the lawn weed free - never ending

glammanana Thu 18-Aug-16 08:54:09

jacknutter Thu 18-Aug-16 08:46:24

getting rid of all the garden waste

leanfun Thu 18-Aug-16 07:59:00

I hate pruning the pyracantha. I've tried to kill it off but it keeps coming back. I always cut my finger with its throrns

dramatictessa Thu 18-Aug-16 07:22:05

Due to a very bad back last year and a broken shoulder this year, most of my recent gardening has been reduced to the odd dead headening and a bit of light watering whilst watching other people do the hard work, so I can safely say I don't hate any gardening jobs right now! What I'll feel like about the digging, weeding, planting, hacking back and cat poo clearing in the future is anyone's guess.

chelseababy Thu 18-Aug-16 06:59:41

I hate watering the post in a dry spell. Keep saying we'll have less post but running out of space in the beds.

TracyKNixon Thu 18-Aug-16 06:47:33

I hate pruning the roses as I alwys end up with thorn wounds!

pamelaJEAN Thu 18-Aug-16 06:25:34

I hate digging my front garden border, an easy task yes, but the neighbourhood cats just love the newly dug soil and yep I have loads of hidden cat poop, you would think I would have learnt over the years but each time it catches me out, usually when I am not wearing gardening gloves Yuck.

Clairemike Thu 18-Aug-16 00:35:56

I have so many cooking apples I can't keep up with picking them off the floor, I try to get them before they ruin but it is a thankless task , I also hate sweeping leaves from the path as again it's clear on moment and full of them the next

grannyqueenie Wed 17-Aug-16 23:49:38

Clearing up after we've done battle with the hideous leylandii hedges that we inherited. That and endlessly clearing up the leaves in autumn.

BBbevan Wed 17-Aug-16 19:20:54

Our garden grows stones. Endless picking up

Greenfinch Wed 17-Aug-16 18:26:26

All of them.

rubysong Wed 17-Aug-16 18:16:17

Dealing with bindweed. The tiniest bit will regrow and I am paranoid about keeping it out of the compost bin.
