We've teamed up with Bonnier Publishing to give you the chance to win a £100 M&S voucher and four hilarious titles.

Most of us have had a ’senior moment’, whether it's calling your child by the wrong name (us, often) or returning from the supermarket without the one item you specifically went in for (oh, us again. Frequently).

But it seems that these things happen to the best of us and that's certainly borne out by Senior Moments, a hilarious new book series collating the best of award-winning greeting card illustrator Tim Whyatt’s cartoons depicting the highs, lows, laughter and indignities of later life.

To be in with a chance of winning an M&S voucher and copies of Senior Moments: Ageing Disgracefully, Christmas, Love & Marriage and Uncensored, tell us - what's your funniest 'senior moment'?

The Senior Moments series is out now and available to buy from WHSmith.

Please post your entry below by midday Monday 18 December.

Usual T&Cs apply.

I still lay out all my clothes for the next day when I go to bed, as I used to when working. Yesterday I stuck a panty liner on the side of my knickers instead of in the gusset - this morning I couldn't work out how to put them on! My excuse is that I had an op yesterday and was suffering from the after-effects of general anaesthetic...

I, too, have done the mislaid purse scenario. It took about a week to turn up at the bottom of a shopping bag containing assorted wild bird feeds. The bag was in the henhouse where I had slung it, in a hurry, as it was raining hard at the time. Of course, by then, all cards had been cancelled so a lot of bother was 'enjoyed' in sorting out my 'senior moment'.

I've done the mislaid purse scenario. It took nearly a week for me to track it and the contents, all of which(cards) had , by then, been cancelled. It was in the henhouse at the bottom of the bag containing assorted birdfeeds which I had slung in, in a rush, as it was raining. That was an uncomfortable experience.

Last Christmas saw a TV Ad for a music compilation I thought my son would like. It was advertised with “free air guitar”. Went to buy it and as young lad was giving it tome in the shop I asked him where my “free air guitar” was. All the other shop assistants just burst out laughing. Fortunately I saw the funny side too but sort of crept out of the shop.

My dad refused to acknowledge his hearing on the phone was not good.
He told my Mum many unknown people had rang, including Peewee ( BT), Yorster Jones ( your sister Rose)

My funniest senior moment,so far anyway, was when I was cleaning my teeth on holiday. I had emptied my sponge bag picked up the tooth brush and very carefully trying to get some very runny toothpaste out of the bottle . I thought it was a bit strange that my normal toothpaste looked blue until I had the toothbrush almost in my mouth when I spotted the head and shoulders bottle next to the toothpaste tube ! I very nearly had teeth without dandruff lol

Husband and I had been dawdling round the supermarket. When we got back to the car he could not find the keys. We went back inside to see if they had been handed in. WE went round and round checking the floor at the food counters. Went back to the car park with the trolley ready to call the RAC. Moved my handbag and there they were hanging from the £1/trolley disc slot on the handle. Our trolley disc is on the car keys. We never thought about it.

I recently went to an appointment wearing one light tan and one black boot. I never even noticed, although my son was very quick to point it out when he met me.

Sitting by the fire last Christmas, I unwrapped a chocolate bar, threw it into the flames and put the wrapper in my mouth! What a waste.

I shall always remember my dear friend who would use the phrase 'senile dimensions' if she was having a senior moment!

What a fascinating set of books...yes please.
I have many senior moments, although today was told I look 39!
My best senior moment is being able to flirt with young men with no offence taken etc. Love it.

Ha Ha.!!! I needed a certain card for my Mobile and my Son had told me exactly what to ask for. So i popped into my phone shop and asked for my purchase.! "Can i have an STD card for my phone please".? You can imagine, what happened next. Everyone in the shop was howling with laughter and i had no idea what was so funny. Then they explained.!!! Embarrassing Senior Moment. ?

Husband " oh, look I've got a text from the Amazon "
Wife " you mean from Amazon NOT The Amazon!"

IU broke down in Town, rang the AA and waited in a friendly nearby nursery.

I waited an hour and a half and finally a very nice AA man turned up and asked if by any chance I was the lady with the red AX who had called for help. I said I was and thanked him for coming.

He asked where the car was and I pointed outside - to find that I had been driving the green Uno - and I'm not colour blind! I hope he dined out on the story, it certainly made my DH laugh.

A friend's mother put socks in the microwave and sausage rolls in the washer. Unfortunately she was later diagnosed with dementia.

After his lunch, I changed my grandson's disposable nappy and put a fresh, cotton bib on him. I retired to the kitchen to put the nappy in the bin and the bib in the washing machine. You've guessed! I put the nappy in the washing machine and the bib in the bin ? I stood for ages knowing that I had done something wrong but I couldn't work out what it was ?
