My favourite thing about summer is sitting in the shade of a tree in the garden surrounded by colurful and scented flowers, while reading a good book.

The worst thing about summer is the difficulty sleeping on hot humid nights.

Summer, I love the birdsong, the blue sky, loose clothing and bare legs.
I hate the noise, humidity and bitey insects.

Fave thing: Being able to eat ice cream at any time of the day 'just to cool down! '
Least fave thing: Putting on weight from eating so much ice cream (and fish and chips at the seaside, and rock from the seaside and..... You get the point!)

Best thing is living by the sea in rural location which the rest of the world seems to love just as much so come and visit. That is also then the worst thing !

Favourite - Spending time in the garden enjoying the fruits of our hard work and relaxing with a good book.
Least favourite - travelling on public transport if it's hot as it gets so uncomfortable

This is a superb prize before i say anything else!!

My favorite thing about the summer is to be able to get my washing dry outside on the line, nothing like line dried clothes and bed sheets! (OMG I am like SO boring!) - I must add this is followed closely by being able to let my adorable indoor guinea pigs out into there run!

My hate of the summer is the intense heat - I dont mind low 20s with a nice breeze but anything over 23 is too hot for me and as my flat is South facing its not good! I suffer from Fibromyalgia and my meds already make me sweat and i cannot control my temperature (always hot) so its a blooming struggle! Plus the poor Guinea Girls cant cope with temperatures over 25 as its too hot for them! But they've been cooling down with ice packs.

Due my illnesses I cannot go out into direct sunlight ( skin condition) so i tend to spend most of my life tucked up in my flat - to relieve the boredom I read, im an avid reader and its my way of enjoying myself as i can learn and also get away in a book. If i won this prize it would be magnificent and keep going thru the horrid hot month of August.

My favourite thing about summer is family time in the garden and plenty of BBQ’s.

My least favourite thing is the hay fever.

I love to light evenings and being outside with my family but I don't like being sticky hot and having to take a few showers a day!

I love time off work (working in a school does have its benefits!) I hate the heat, I feel so uncomfortable and constantly have a headache... You have no idea how much I would squeal if I won this many books. Books get me so excited!

The best thing about summer is going on holiday and being able to read as many books as I like lying by a pool. The worst thing is all those flies that enter the house buzzing around,yuk!

My favourite thing is having all the windows and the patio door open the least is having to mow the lawn

Enjoying a good read in the garden with a glass of wine in hand, birds singing and bees buzzing-feeling relaxed and unhurried. There's nothing better!
Least favourite thing is lying awake at night unable to sleep due to the recent heat-however even that is improved by opening the windows, listening to the Barn Owls and finishing that wonderful book that I can't put down..

My Favourite thing is the long Summer evenings-and everyone seems happier!

Favourite thing about summer: wearing lighter clothes and not worrying about a jumper etc.
Least favourite thing: having to keep pulling up weeds in the garden and cutting the grass.

I love the warmth and not having to wear 17 layers of clothes but I hate flies

MY favourite thing is going to the beach and my least favourite is too many wasps.

My favourite thing about summer is the long, light evenings which remind me being sent to bed as a child in what appeared to be full daylight, still hearing the birds singing and smelling the sweet peas which blossomed under my bedroom window. Now I like that I can still go for a walk in daylight at 9 or 10pm.

My least favourite thing about summer is simple;hayfever!

the lovely sunny weather which makes everyone smile, the worst having to share my lovely Devon with all the non locals who drive too fast in country lanes in the middle of the narrow road and are afraid to move over into the hedge

Best thing about summer is being outside without coat, scarf and gloves - the worst thing, it never lasts long enough!
