I love spending time during the school summer holidays with all the family but wish the weather could be a little less hot - it’s horribly stuffy inside.

Rielly62 Wed 27-Jun-18 21:57:22

I love spending time with my Grandsons as long as I can sit in the shade, I hate the heat, I prefer it cool than really hot.

IamaWallis2 Wed 27-Jun-18 21:47:42

My favourite summer pleasure is sitting in my outdoor comfy swing seat reading all recommended books from the local library and having lunch outside and back to more afternoon reading with a power nap in between. My least favourite summer chore is watering the garden after the sun's heat has gone.

Tazlil Wed 27-Jun-18 21:20:09

My favourite thing in summer is the sunshine-right?
My least favourite thing's trying to sleep at night!

mtp123 Wed 27-Jun-18 19:24:32

Being able to do the washing and knowing it will be dry in 30 minutes, least favourite attracting every insect known to man who almost always bite me whilst never going near my husband sad

MrsJ2000 Wed 27-Jun-18 18:24:50

Favourite thing, all the gorgeous juicy summer fruits
Least favourite, not being able to sleep when it is too hot

tracyjane47 Wed 27-Jun-18 15:36:21

Fav thing is bare feet on my cool vinyl floor
Least fav thing is my water butt running dry

Geordienanaannie Wed 27-Jun-18 15:29:50

Best: Long light evenings that give you time to sit and contemplate the world with a glass of chilled white wine and a good book for company

Worse: when you reach mid summers day and realise it's downhill from then on!

The delicious taste and mouth watering smell of home grown strawberries.

Constant, draining, hay fever .

jenni123 Wed 27-Jun-18 14:52:16

Best thing warm/hot weather.
Worst thing being housebound and hayfever. I am unable to leave my flat unless accompanied and that is not always possible, so all I can do is to sit and look out of my window. sunshine

Compermo Wed 27-Jun-18 14:14:16

My favourite thing is being able to sit out in the garden with a good book.
Least favourite is wasps and biting insects, because I get a bad reaction to bites, which means a trip to the doctors and antibiotics.

kazz123 Wed 27-Jun-18 14:03:29

I love Summer clothes ,maxis especially .
I hate the flies and wasps!

Dollyfair Wed 27-Jun-18 13:51:58

My favourite thing about summer is that the grandchildren come to stay for a week from the city in the holidays, and we live near the seaside, so days on the beach - so lovely to see them running about with not an electronic device in sight!
My least favourite things are wasps, guaranteed to ruin any picnic, and I am on constant alert for them, for myselves and the children.

Sjonlegs Wed 27-Jun-18 12:11:52

I just love being outside in the sunshine and doing all the gardening jobs rather than housework!

I'm not a fan of 'eau de hot sweaty people' that I usually find myself surrounded with at the supermarket!!

henetha Wed 27-Jun-18 11:58:01

The best thing about the summer to me is just being warm, although I don't care for excessive heat. Winter is just so cold.... but I'm having central heating installed next week so it's goodbye to freezing all winter. Yay!
The worst thing is being too hot to sleep at night, and the wasps nest I have just found in a large conifer.

majock Wed 27-Jun-18 11:53:12

est thing is the light nights, worst is the heat

stoolballgirl Wed 27-Jun-18 09:52:41

The best thing is the weather and long light days - perfect for family fun, picnics, trips to the beach and pub lunches. The worst thing is when it gets too muggy and you cannot sleep

AngelaCringle Wed 27-Jun-18 08:32:09

I love spending time in the Garden, having BBQs with friends and family. I hate it when you car,t sleep at nights because it's to hot and stuffy

JudeMD Wed 27-Jun-18 08:16:38

I love the chance to get out into the open air, explore the countryside and our natural heritage.
I hate the fact that my home town becomes overwhelmed by tourists. Yes they bring in income for the town but I lose my peace and quiet.

Grannymoz Wed 27-Jun-18 07:35:29

Favourite bit is being able to be outside, least favourite are all the midges

Leah50 Wed 27-Jun-18 06:31:30

I love being out & about in light summer clothes on warm, dry days, watching bumble bees & butterflies on bright scented flowers.
I hate insect bites & stings, always seem to have one either itching or hurting.

sugarland Wed 27-Jun-18 06:00:47

The best bit about summer is watching the birds with their babies and them dust bathing - joyful and the worst are people who do not seem to know what deodorant or soap is for!!!!! Always worse in summer with less clothes to mask the smell (sorry to be so graphic)!!!!!

mangelides Wed 27-Jun-18 00:45:13

I love being able to enjoy eating breakfast on my patio in the morning sunshine.
I hate the far too frequent thunderstorms which seem to follow a lovely hot Summer spell.

cidney1 Tue 26-Jun-18 22:53:56

Sitting on the swing seat in the garden with a book in my hand and a chilled glass of orange juice by my side.

Sitting on the swing seat in the garden with a book in my hand and a chilled glass of orange juice by my side, hiding underneath the cold canopy wearing a cardi being unable to stand the heat!

cjrmar Tue 26-Jun-18 21:54:38

Best thing about summer is not having cold toes worst thing ios having to go to work when its lovely and sunny.
