Best thing and worst thing is the sun! I love being warm but not too hot. My lounge is a conservatory and gets too hot and wasps and bees come in when I have the door open for air.

Lupin Mon 18-Jun-18 14:54:46

Freedom from the winter coat and feeling bundled up is a favourite thing and flies infiltrating the house is a least favourite thing.

charlwilde Mon 18-Jun-18 14:46:43

Best thing is all being together and great family days out, the worst thing is cooking dinner when its really hot and you just want to be outside!

rizlett Mon 18-Jun-18 14:44:38

Best summer thing: bare feet

Worst summer thing: there isn't!

cavewoman Mon 18-Jun-18 14:39:30

Best thing is exploring the countryside in shorts and t-shirt (not being bogged down with overcoats and wellies)

Worst thing is how quickly summer passes.

libra10 Mon 18-Jun-18 14:35:38

My favourite thing about summer is being out in the garden, enjoying the fresh air.

Least favourite - midges surrounding you when out and about. Oh! and frogs, hate the little beady-eyed monsters.

LadyGracie Mon 18-Jun-18 14:32:10

I love watching the baby birds coming to feed in the garden. I don't enjoy hot airless nights and being unable to sleep.

ecci53 Mon 18-Jun-18 14:30:51

Favourite - the feeling of joy when I go for a walk on the beach with my dogs on a warm sunny day, clear blue sky, with the chill winter walks now a distant memory.
Don't like all the bitey stingy creatures that appear the minute it warms up.

Ranworth1 Mon 18-Jun-18 14:21:50

Favourite - local Regatta when all the family spend time on the beach with me (Nanny Seaside!)

Least favourite - too hot to sleep at night....

Worthingpatchworker Mon 18-Jun-18 14:14:50

Glorious sunny days are wonderful and a real joy. The sad part is how quickly it passes taking with it the gorgeous flowers.

SueB20 Mon 18-Jun-18 14:11:25

The best thing is sitting at the waters edge and feeling a gentle breeze and the warm sun on my face.
The worst thing for me is not being able to sleep at night if it's really hot.

pollyolly Mon 18-Jun-18 14:11:05

I love all the end of summer term grandchildrens events.
School sports days, plays, football finals, awards nights, music concerts.
I have 13 grandchildren so lots of these and all brilliant!
Least favourite, rain.

SeaWatcher Mon 18-Jun-18 14:02:45

The best thing about summer is the smile on people's faces, the worst being hot and sticky.

HHBBNN54 Mon 18-Jun-18 14:01:05

Best thing is being able to wear open sandals
Worst thing stuck in traffic jams on a boiling hot day

moxeyns Mon 18-Jun-18 13:55:06

Favourite thing; long, lovely warm days.
Least favourite; the knowledge that autumn/winter inevitably follows!

tiredoldwoman Mon 18-Jun-18 13:51:03

'Summertime and the living is easy '..... it does actually feel like that ! Lighter shoes, lighter spirit . a sunny breezy day lifts the spirits and the washing line high . White clouds and blue skies all bring back my childhood remembering days at the beach running into the waves . What spoils it now is that I can't run - the water feels too cold and the hips are too heavy !

elbowlicker Mon 18-Jun-18 13:44:08

Best bit of summer is spending time with the children outside in the lovely weather. Worst bit is wasps.

Persistentdonor Mon 18-Jun-18 13:37:09

So many things to look forward to such as warmth, flowers, and swallows. My favourite aspect of summer is the promise of relaxing on my sunny balcony with a good book. sunshine

The least appealing aspect is continual moaning by my son in Australia regarding how cold their winter is, while in fact they having the same temperature as we are during a typical UK summer. envy

Jannerjj Mon 18-Jun-18 13:30:34

Favourite , being at our caravan and going for walks on the beach
Least favourite , ? hot sticky nights

missdeke Mon 18-Jun-18 13:16:17

Worst thing, thunderbugs, they get in everywhere, inside watch faces, camera lenses, there's one been stuck in my laptop screen for two years. The best thing is being able to wear less clothes!!!

Ruskin Mon 18-Jun-18 13:15:39

Best = eating outside
Worst = hot, humid nights

Juliac23 Mon 18-Jun-18 13:11:39

Best thing about summer is not working and perhaps getting a chance to get away on holiday.
Worst thing is not getting a chance to get away and then having horrid weather at home ! Fingers crossed !shamrock

Omaoma57 Mon 18-Jun-18 13:09:08

Most favourite thing in the summer is the warmth...the least favourite is my allergy to something! A red nose is a much better look for the winter!

holey Mon 18-Jun-18 13:06:17

The best thing is the weather. I hate being cold and love the sunshine.

The worst thing is feeling too hot and stuffy at night and struggling to sleep.

Seakay Mon 18-Jun-18 12:46:02

favourite thing is being able to get on with life without having to worry about keeping me or the house warm

least favourite thing is being so attractive to all biting insects!
