The best bit is wearing and seeing other people wearing such colourful clothes! The worst bit is the extra ironing this entails - in the winter we cover up more so no need to iron the clothes not on show!!

Eating Ice Cream from Nicholls in Parkgate whiles walking along the prom is my favourite whilst getting bitten by Parkgate Mossies is my worst.

karinu Mon 18-Jun-18 12:23:27

This is a difficult choice, but eating home grown tomatoes
with olive oil and fresh basil - yumm!

Least favourite - hot, sticky days!

franjo Mon 18-Jun-18 12:21:29

Being able spend more time outdoors is best but being invaded by marauding seagulls when eating anything like an ice cream or a pasty is the worst!

jujoyce27 Mon 18-Jun-18 12:19:46

My favourite thing about Summer is looking at all the beautiful flowers in my garden. The worst are the flies when you try to eat al fresco.

Youngeil Mon 18-Jun-18 12:13:18

My favourite thing is eating outside - from breakfast in the early morning sunshine, a picnic lunch on the banks of a river to dinner in a restaurant in the twilight. The worst thing is hot, sticky, thundery nights not being able to sleep - not that these happen too often.

grandmaz Mon 18-Jun-18 12:12:33

Least favourite is easy - streaming hay fever! The best and loveliest thing IMHO is the beauty of nature in the early mornings - birds singing, the smell of flowers in the garden and the prospect of blue skies and sunshine to look forward to. sunshine

A week in Cornwall every summer is a highlight of the year for me. The worst is the weeds taking over the garden, and the never-ending battle with them.

HillyN Mon 18-Jun-18 12:08:06

The best thing about summer is wearing sandals, freeing my toes to wiggle in the sunshine.
The worst thing is when you are expecting warmth and sunshine and instead it is cold and wet. Back on with the socks and trainers! sad

Paul2706 Mon 18-Jun-18 12:07:55

The best part of summer has to be strawberries and cream the worst part are all the rainy days we seem to get nowadays

Cambia Mon 18-Jun-18 12:07:21

Best thing is wearing pretty light clothes, no umbrellas or coats and floppy floppy sandals.

Worst thing is no coal fire blazing in the fireplace each evening.

Catterygirl Mon 18-Jun-18 12:06:29

My favourite thing about summer is wearing fewer clothes and a chance to sunbathe.

Least favourite thing? Well, nothing really. I just love summer.

jmo Mon 18-Jun-18 12:06:23

Midges!! I hate them.

Bobdoesit Mon 18-Jun-18 12:03:58

My favourite things about summer? Everything! The birds & the bees, the plants & the trees, the sunshine (and the showers!), smiling faces of happy people, kids playing in the park (yes they still do it where I live), and best of all a little colour to my legs! My least favourite thing – it has to end.

noahsark Mon 18-Jun-18 12:03:09

Listening to all the beautiful birdsong & least favourite is being stung by a wasp

sweetcakes Mon 18-Jun-18 11:54:33

My favourite thing is my pink rose tree with its fragrance and my worst slugs that eat my new plants
Especially my new curry plant!

Undercoverdogg Mon 18-Jun-18 11:53:30

My favourite is spending time with family in the garden and on walks or day trips. My least favourite? Wasps!

Venus Mon 18-Jun-18 11:52:55

My favourite thing about summer is the light evenings when I can spend more time outside.

My least favourite thing about summer is that it's so fleeting and gradually the nights begin to draw in again as summer passes.

vickyeaston1234 Mon 18-Jun-18 11:52:40

My favourite thing is the lighter nights, it means you can get in the garden and have family around instead of just sitting in front of the TV!

My least favourite thing is the increase in insects - they really bite!

MadGrandma Mon 18-Jun-18 11:51:56

The best bit is hopefully good weather to spend time outdoors; the worst - looking after the garden in the heat and having to water it every night!!

inishowen Mon 18-Jun-18 11:50:29

My favourite thing is the way the garden bursts into life. My least favourite, feeling sweaty when going for a walk in the heat.

qlynch Mon 18-Jun-18 11:48:25

I love watching the garden turn sunny and colourful but I hate the weeding.

tuller Mon 18-Jun-18 11:48:10

Hello one and all, I have been working with SEN children for the last few years - transporting them to and from school....
I am looking forward to the summer break (no 5.45 get-ups) to have fun with my Grandchildren, but will miss all the children during this time, as we have fun and good times on our school bus journeys....

Greyduster Mon 18-Jun-18 11:46:42

My favourite thing about summer is to see river brown trout rising to take the fleeting hatch of summer mayflies on a warm still day.

The worst thing is the bluebottles and houseflies that invade my conservatory whenever we have the doors open. Where do they come from, and why don’t they just stay there??

Mapleleaf Mon 18-Jun-18 11:37:07

The best thing is the colour and warmth of summer.
The worst thing is the high pollen count!
