I think the BFG is a wonderful character to have invented: huge, kind, fearful, rude, loving, muddle-headed. I particularly like the way he speaks, muddling up his words, inventing new words, and talking with a strange grammar.

James and the giant peach - the cream of all characters

Charlie Bucket as he was such a kind and caring boy. He wasn't greedy or self-obsessed like the other children he shared the competition prize with. Charlie just wanted to help his family and he had some fun with his grandpa at the factory.

Matilda. What a character. She reminds me of my 6 year old granddaughter, loves reading and is very grown up for her age!
