BFG - he's just so fabwopplingly kind to Sophie. I love his mixed up words. My Grandson and I make up our own everytime we read it and end up crying with laughter.

George from George's Marvellous Medicine very funny and great fun.

Pidge67 Tue 18-Sept-18 13:46:28

Charlie Bucket, but from the Great Glass Elevator, not the Chocolate factory...

sandralg Tue 18-Sept-18 13:03:36

The Enormous Crocodile. An ideal book to introduce children to the humour of Roald Dahl at an early age; the croc tries so hard but is outwitted and gets his just desserts - brilliantly imagined and still makes me giggle.

liquorice Mon 17-Sept-18 21:30:46

Willy Wonka - gave his factory to a little boy

Kathrynf Mon 17-Sept-18 11:31:26

Grandpa Joe from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. I just loved how it showed we want absolutely the best for the next generation and would give anything to get it for them. His delight in sharing the experiences with Charlie was beautiful and knowing everything had come good for him made him a very happy man!
