Thanks, Elegran, for posting this. I actually stopped trying after I’d only got 11 (and Christmas preparations had to be done). But I’ve just had an email to say that I’ve won one of the randomly drawn £10 book vouchers!

It is very fussy about exactly what it accepts!

Sarahmob Wed 28-Nov-18 15:54:04

Yay I got it! Again I had tried entering that title but had added the extra bit after the colon so it rejected it on my first attempt.

Elegran Wed 28-Nov-18 11:09:01

People like the author say to you more often that pain is NOT inevitable (they put it differently) - but it isn't always true!

Sarahmob Wed 28-Nov-18 10:46:08

Thanks ladies, now got the raccoon one - although I’d tried that title before and it had rejected it, must have been my dyslexic typing lol. Only one more to find! I’ll keep thinking.

Pittcity Tue 27-Nov-18 21:35:33

It doesn't matter what animal it is, its what he's doing that is the clue.

Elegran Tue 27-Nov-18 20:11:00

Try saying the pain notice another way.

I am not sure that is a racoon. It could be a lemur in a mask! (Why?)

Sarahmob Tue 27-Nov-18 19:54:09

I’m stuck on 18, the H pain inevitable and the raccoon with the books are the ones I’m struggling with. Any other clues would be welcomed.

Elegran Sun 25-Nov-18 09:33:54

A good way to waste time, too!

cascats Sat 24-Nov-18 22:37:58

Well thats my entry in as well, lol, certainly gets the brain working!

Elegran Sat 24-Nov-18 17:48:29

It is always obvious once you get it!

NannyDa Sat 24-Nov-18 17:03:18

Elegran - Thank you so much (It's obvious NOW) I also have all 20

Elegran Sat 24-Nov-18 16:23:44

Thank you, Cascats That was the direction I was following but you confirmed that I was on the right track. It still took a lot of puzzling out and searching likely titles. Now I have all 20, but I don't imagine I will win!

Scribbles Sat 24-Nov-18 16:12:00

I've got 10 and now I'm giving up because sheer frustration is pushing up my blood pressure!

cascats Sat 24-Nov-18 15:58:11

Elegran, non fiction book. What we evolved into.

Elegran Sat 24-Nov-18 15:31:45

Any better clues for the evolution one?

Elegran Sat 24-Nov-18 15:30:58

Nannyda That is The Day the clues were published.

NannyDa Sat 24-Nov-18 15:16:23

Completely stuck on 15.11.18???

besottedgran Thu 22-Nov-18 19:51:50

Thank you, Nanos!!

Nanos Thu 22-Nov-18 11:34:42

Besotted Gran.....think of another word for ‘wee’ and the book is a recent bestseller.

Nanos Thu 22-Nov-18 11:32:50

Hint for the diving girl; think of a Paula Hawkins book title.
?

Nanos Thu 22-Nov-18 11:29:33

Finally finished naming all the book titles. Several caused great frustration. ? I think this year’s titles are a little more straightforward than in previous years.

besottedgran Thu 22-Nov-18 11:18:18

Oh, dear--- have managed to find 18/20--- can't think of the one with the wee fires-- and I can't find clue number 20 !

Elegran Mon 19-Nov-18 09:40:40

I noticed that one of those silhouettes is female. That must be relevant.
