One of my favourite activities as a child was to climb on straw stacks & read books.

My favourite activity was playing games in the garden and parks with my brother and our friends

Hopscotch in the street.

I have a picture of me and my best friend (we were both redheads then - I'm not now!) dressed up as old ladies, with lips turned in to look as though we had no teeth, tweed suits and specs with not glass in them. A slightly odd leisure activity. Other than that, it was climbing trees.

I loved Kerby and kick the can. Also loved fishing for sticklebacks at the brook and making dens, playing ‘horses’ and doing showjumps!

I used to love playing rounders with the family then having a picnic x

Skipping, either by myself or with friends and we took turns turning the rope and jumping

Camping in the woods and having a camp fire. Telling ghost stories so we were frightened to go to sleep.

Going to the river nearby with a picnic, with friends, family or neighbours and playing French cricket.
