If you're after ideas for what to read this summer, look no further than our round-up of the best summer reads for 2019.

One very lucky person can win all the books featured on the page - worth over £600.

To enter, simply tell us your favourite female character from a book (old or new and from any genre).

A winner will be drawn at random at midday on Monday 15 July. Usual terms and conditions apply. Note that because of the size and weight of the prize box, we are only able to deliver to mainland UK addresses.

Eleanor Oliphant
I started reading the book and thought this is a gently refreshing change. I finished it realising it was a very very special book. One I will read again.

Loving Agatha Raisin at the moment- from M.C.Beatons whole Agatha Raisin series- the scrapes/ relationships she lands herself in are sure to raise a smile- and her constant battles with everyday mid- life crises are so akin to what we 'mature' ladies are experiencing its very heartening.
