Doing jigsaw puzzles with my Dad, he used to buy some really difficult 1 or 2 thousand piece ones to see how quickly we could finish them. Still enjoy them now.

We use to enjoy playing Marbles, remember having a boot shaped bag full on them. We had hours of pleasure from this simple game.

A catapult I got for Christmas. Sadly it was confiscated on the first day back at school. Never did get it back either....

Climbing trees with friends!

We used to love making dens on the local heath and catching minnows in the stream that ran throw it.

I always loved playing marbles around the drains with my friends

Playing trains under the kitchen table with the kitchen stools, a blanket and a torch. Bliss.

I loved Solitaire, being an only child it was the perfect game for me!

Hopscotch , hide and seek , bulldog , making up our own games and being allowed more freedom

Getting all of the tins out of the cupboard and playing shops with my grandad

making perfume with rose petals and water in the garden on a warm summers day.

Spent many happy hours colouring in pictures by numbers.

Going out round our village on my bicycle. We had some woods where there was a small cycle racetrack - looking back it was obvioulsy maintained by someone but my friends and I never saw anyone else there and liked to think it was our secret!

The family Monopoly matches will forever be remembered with love and affection.

It has to be two balls. I used to drive my mum mad with my constant playing up against the house wall.

We had a board game called Frustration which featured a pop-o-matic dice. This provided hours of hilarious fun but after a while, it refused to 'pop', so I think in total we ended up buying 3.

I went ice skating with my best friend every Saturday afternoon and the DJ played the hits of the day. We sat upstairs on the bus and felt grown up. On the way home we bought comics and ice cream.

I loved draughts and ludo. Haven't played either in years

Ooh, lots of memories, from cycling over the downs to spending the day at the beach, but my favourite was playing hopscotch on the pavement outside our house.

Climbing endless trees.

My sister and I had some beautiful model horses, we spend so much time playing with those.

I absolutely loved Snakes and Ladders - so much fun.

Snakes and Ladders, you could never get bored of that game.
An old game but still one of the best to keep children occupied.

Going out for the day and coming home for tea covered in mud from playing in the fields or collecting tadpoles from the ponds.
