It's that time of year again...

If you are stuck for gift ideas for family/friends, look no further than our round-up of the best books for Christmas. From psychological thrillers to women's fiction, autobiographies to cookbooks (and everything in between), there really is something for everyone.

And, as ever, we are giving one lucky person the chance to win everything featured on the page...worth over £800. All you have to do is tell us, on this thread, who you'd most like to find under your tree this Christmas (and why).

We will be drawing a winner at random at midday on Monday 16 December. Terms and conditions apply - more details on the page.

My father encouraged me to read when I was small. He bought me Mary Poppins and books from Readers Digest. Lots of other books like Little Women, always hard backs.
I would love to have my father there (although he died last year) and sit with Marian Keyes who I think has an amazing sense of humour.

I'd like to find my eldest granddaughter under my tree. The two younger ones are coming for Christmas and although she is coming for a visit, the week before, she will be missed by all.

Bikes for all the family. The 5 and 7 year olds have just learned to ride them and the grown ups need to get fit. We could all cycle into the sunset along Brighton seafront and do our bit for the planet too

I would love to find Rod Stewart under my tree to thank him and tell him how much happiness his music brought to my precious mum and for giving her that little twinkle in her eye when she looked at his new calendar every Christmas
