It's that time of year again...

If you are stuck for gift ideas for family/friends, look no further than our round-up of the best books for Christmas. From psychological thrillers to women's fiction, autobiographies to cookbooks (and everything in between), there really is something for everyone.

And, as ever, we are giving one lucky person the chance to win everything featured on the page...worth over £800. All you have to do is tell us, on this thread, who you'd most like to find under your tree this Christmas (and why).

We will be drawing a winner at random at midday on Monday 16 December. Terms and conditions apply - more details on the page.

I’d love to find David Attenborough. He’d be such an interesting person to have around.

James Stewart (of Harvey fame) so he could read ‘Twas the night before Christmas’ I’d record him and then play it every year.

Thought I answered this before, but can't find it now & things have moved on. I'd like to find JC - not the Cmas one - Jeremy Corbyn. It would make a change to to meet an honest, ethical politician. Sadly, that seems to have done him no favours.

Charles Dickens I'm sure he would keep Me and my family entertained with his stories especially the classic 'Christmas Carol'.

I'd like to find my mum under my Christmas tree. She was taken so quickly, I would love to be able to cuddle her one more time and fulfill our tradition of singing German carols around the tree ☺

I would love to have Bear Grylls under my tree, so he can teach loads of survival skills that as a scout leader I can then teach the scouts skills for life.

I'd like to find my Mum. She died a few years ago, just before I started crafting. She was an amazing crafter but I was too busy with children and work to learn anything from her. Now every time I make something I'm proud of I hold it up and say 'Look Mum, What do you think?'

I've lived in so many places my friends are widespread and my family are in Australia and Scotland. I would love to find all of them gathered together under the tree for one big wonderful Christmas.

Billy Connolly is so positive of life. He could sit under my Christmas tree forever!
