We had great competitions on GN. I won a week in a cottage in Wales, a £50 voucher for a poster/print, fabulous toys and children's books amongst loads of other things.

GN is definitely the poor relation now.

There is a (genuine) link on the GN comp page to the Mumsnet comp. page. www.gransnet.com/competitions That seems to have a lot!

The "competition" mentioned on the reported post doesn't appear on the Gransnet competition page - pure spam from that poster.

No way will I be entering. The fact that an annoying has-been sportsman advertised it on TV is enough to put me off. Also my hubby sent off for the gumpf on an older, similar, much more expensive piece of a good few years ago. It was basically marketed as curing all ills. The salesman visited our home. Eventually I left, along with ALL our debit/credit cards..
To cut a long story short at a car boot sale a few weeks later I bought my husband a secondhand version for £5. And the salesman wanted over £1000!!! Probably worth a fiver for the heater element.

Prize doesn't interest me.

Comp has probably closed now looking at the date of the OP ?

I have bilateral knee replacements and an ankle pinned and plated. Using one of these would slowly loosen all the metalwork, so no I will not be trying.
