My late friend and I had many wonderful holidays at home and abroad with Shearings. They were fabulous. I just have the beautiful memories and heaps of photo's.

5%? Is that all? Crikey. Can they afford it?

My last coach holiday with my mum (not Shearings) was certainly memorable! The coach driver kept asking me out for a drink (despite me having OH at home!) and poor mum ended the trip by contracting Norovirus from the hotel! ?

My mum has always enjoyed her holidays with Shearings.
She and her friend always booked early to get single rooms.
Her friend can’t walk very well now otherwise they would still be going.

That's a lovely memory Tillybelle. I did have a good holiday in Torquay last year with Shearings, but this year I just can't seem to get a singles trip where I want to go. I often get their special offers through the post, but they are always for couples/two people.

Just wanted to anecdote:

I took my mum with Shearings to a hotel near Loch Lomond for Christmas, quite a while back. It was then I noticed she was beginning to be very forgetful.

Both she and I had a superb time! It was far beyond what I had hoped.

The holiday was made so wonderful, I would like to say, by our Driver/Host and his very lovely and funny Wife, who could not have been kinder, more attentive without intruding, and just brilliant in seeing that we had everything we needed!

Although it is a while ago now, I remember it almost every day and I am so grateful that this Shearings holiday was something my mother enjoyed before her last illness made such things impossible.

Exactly what I was thinking Singlegrannie. And the single rooms are so few and far between they are usually already fully booked.
