Can you use discount codes on amazon?

Hello everyone,
Amazon is the largest e-commerce site right now. On it sells a variety of items for everyone to choose from. It is an online store, not sure if it is possible to use discount codes for products at Amazon?

I imagine only Amazon discount codes would apply as they are the retailer and not the company making and supplying the goods. I usually do a search for the product using kelkoo or just google as Amazon are not always the cheapest.
