Lidl supermarket shoppers can get “uncapped savings” off their weekly shop through a new recycling scheme.
The supermarket is launching a bottle return scheme trial in Glasgow Lidl until August 11, has a scheme where customers will be able to get vouchers in exchange for depositing empty plastic bottles and aluminium cans. Shoppers will get a 5p voucher for each eligible item they return - this can then be spent in stores or donated to The STV Children’s appeal.
Hope this might also help the littering problem ie people collecting dis-guarded bottles and cans in exchange for Lidl vouchers for shopping. Will also help cash strapped people.
