DISABLED PERSONS RAILCARD?

Can anyone advise/explain please? DH and I are heading to London for a short break. I have a Disabled Persons card so I can use this on tubes, trains I believe. However for normal DH also benefits from the card as he is seen as my companion so also gets a third off. However I'm reading that it does not apply in London but he can buy an off-peak Travel Day card (paper version not online) he will then get the discount. Not sure how all this would work, can anyone explain advise me on this?

See the link below. You and your husband only get the discount if you buy a travelcard to come into London. To qualify for discounted travel whilst in London, eg on day 2 of your stay, you will need to add your railcard to an Oyster card. You will need to apply for an Oyster card in advance and have you dpr added. Your husband doesn’t qualify for the discount.

I have a DP railcard and always ring them direct and ask for help, I've always got a "real person" on the line, and nice too, I would try that.

Thanks for the information all, I will have a look to see the best way forward. Seems a bit of a hassle but a lot of things are I suppose. grin
