Like most sensible people I hate to waste food but I've been told maybe I'm keeping leftovers (in the fridge) for too long. How long is a safe time to keep, say mashed potatoes, in the fridge? Ditto with mince cooked in sauce (think spag bol or cottage pie). I often cook more than I need of both to use another day.
