How to make a jacket potato exciting AND less fattening!
Take a large spud, wash it and prick it. (still I don't know why)
Wrap it in a piece of kitchen roll, and place in microwave oven at full power.
Set timer for 10 mins.
Check spud for readiness to eat.- not ready yet!
turn over,(Not you ,silly!) and set timer for further 10 mins.
Now, here is the exciting bit!!
Go out of kitchen for about 10 -15 mins.
When smoke alarm starts it's melodious clamour, rush into smoke filled kitchen, (mind the CAT - too late!).
Carefully, but hurriedly, open microwave door - - there to find your lunch very well done, with a pretty little flame lighting the top of your spud!
You may blow this out gently and carefully, bearing in mind any HSE cautions which may come to mind.
How is that for excitement?
But dear friends, there IS a BONUS, - yes. You will find that the lunch time spud is now as light as a feather, no insides left,you see - hence - NON fattening!!
It includes exercise too, because it takes about 20 mins to restore the inside of your oven to it's former (or better!) clean condition.
How is that for an exciting ,non fattening meal?
