I don't think you need to cross fingers mishap - all sounds perfectly fine to me.

Whenever I slice and freeze meat I try to cover it with gravy if possible, but whichever way, it always turns out OK. smile

I cooked a turkey crown very thoroughly on Christmas Eve and put it in my DD's fridge. This was in case their turkey did not provide enough leftovers for Boxing Day meal. In the event we did not need it; so I brought it home yesterday (only short journey) and carved it, putting some in our fridge to be eaten today and the rest into the freezer in separate helpings for use later.

The crown was totally wrapped in 3 layers of foil the whole time so could not become contaminated.

Anyone got any thoughts about this? - I am not particularly worried about it and plan to have it for lunch today - fingers crossed?
