jacket potatoes in microwave

I do the same as nanaej. Start them off in the microwave then finish them off in the oven. There are loads of veggie recipes available these days. Rose Elliot's books are my favourite. Just leave out the garlic if you don't like it. Some of these recipes will also use nuts and seeds. I love breakfast cereals that contain nuts and seeds but they are usually fattening.

Cook them in the microwave. Then baste with a little coking oil and crisp up under the grill.

I sometimes put the jackets in microwave for 5 mins then in the oven (usually with something else cooking) for half hour to crisp up!

Love jacket potatoes but only done in big oven as nice and crispy, however expense means should use microwave instead but find them soft on the outside and hard in the middle, any suggestion gratefully received. Also any veg receipes for main meal - no garlic - makes me sick.AND does anyone use nuts and seeds .if so how please. Sorry so convoluted and thanks in advance
