Mary Berry's Chocolate Cake as featured in last week's Sunday Mail

My husband is the same Maniac he's a total chocoholic but can't stand any sort of chocolate cake and isn't keen on it in pudding either. I like it in cakes and puddings but can't stand hot chocolate to drink!

I always make sure the ingredients are cold and from the fridge using utensils that are cold also,when ever I am using icing sugar I always add it last in very small quantities.

I won't be making Mary Berry's Chocolate cake.Although I love chocolate bars etc I hate chocolate cakes and puddings .Watching such recipes makes me feel quite nauseous. !!??

I made tHis cake today and then made the ganache for sandwiching the cakes together.

The ingredients were chocolate, cream, butteR and icing auger and despite following the recipe it curdled!!! Can anyone tell me why? I think I rescued it by adding more cream.
