Thanks everyone, liking the Eton mess idea. I'm making roast dinner today, got the 'assemble a pudding' under control, and that's all I'm doing! flowers

If not mash them up with cream, strawberries or raspberries for an Eton mess!

As long as they are still crisp, I should think they will be fine.

Yes! Loads of sugar which preserves.

If you don't want them...............

I bought baby meringues from our high street bakery (they make them) just over a month ago, stored them in an airtight (glass container with plastic lid) and promptly forgot about them until I saw them in the store cupboard today and thought - 'what's that?' Would they be okay to eat today? I googled the question with no clear answer and then thought - the Gransnetters will know.

You do see them in the supermarkets with dates that say they are good for months, but perhaps they put something preservatives in theirs?
