Rhubarb

Now I know what to do with my stash of sloe gin. I love gathering the sloes and making it but I'm not a drinker these days. All I need now is the rhubarb.

I love rhubarb just as it is. As children, my mother used to give us a stick of rhubarb and a small amount of suger in a newspaper pouch, lovely.

Must get Gary to see if there is some at the bottom of my garden. I think I can see some from the window with my bird watching binoculars (as far into my garden I go. It's on a slope and slippy!)

I love rhubarb. They say it goes well with lavendar - I've never tried it though.

Picked some new rhubarb from the garden and am just trying a Nigel Slater recipe which bakes it in sloe gin. The kitchen smells wonderfully of gin! Yum grin
